Use the promo code GENERAL3686 to get $50 your ticket for the Sept. 9-11 event. ICYMI, 3686 is the annual entrepreneurship conference. It's named for the geographic coordinates of Nashville, where it takes place every year. It's truly an event about valuable connections, so if you're in the entrepreneurial ecosystem this is your chance to meet up with others from across the country who share your passions and could help boost your work. (Last year we drew people from 33 states!) We also facilitated over 900 one-on-one meetings, and we've heard countless success stories that came out of those. We all know that success is sometimes about who you know, so come get to know other like-minded people. The possibilities are endless! Here's a little info about the programming... Shoe designer Stuart Weitzman, whose creations have been worn on the red carpet by everyone from Beyoncé to Taylor Swift, will give the keynote address this year, which is super exciting. He will talk about his entrepreneurial journey. The conference will also include panel discussions on artificial intelligence, sports tech, climate tech, international business, and more. Mayors from Tennessee’s major cities — Nashville, Memphis, Knoxville, and Chattanooga — will also participate in the annual conference, sharing innovation highlights from their respective regions. There's an annual pitch competition, and someone will win $10,000, plus the potential to secure funding through LaunchTN’s investment fund, InvestTN. This picture shows the team that made 3686 happen last year. We are small but mighty, and your support means the world to us! When I started my entrepreneurial journey, like many other entrepreneurs and founders I was looking to get connected. One of the many early memories that I had was attending a meetup. This was the first time (outside of Shark Tank) that I saw entrepreneurs pitching their brands in person. I was nervous about sharing what DM Firm offered. When I finally shared what my business did, I felt like I was all over the place. Fast forward, to 2020, the pandemic happens. Here I was witnessing many people enter the entrepreneurial space. I often wondered, how will new and established entrepreneurs get connected to the business community. Then it dawns on me... how will entrepreneurs connect to the local, regional, and national business community (now ecosystem)? Is there a platform to just practice pitching and get feedback? In 2021, I and Emma Peralta started getting entrepreneurs to pitch their businesses. In 2022, we expanded to Newark NJ and the DMV area. In 2024, the DM Firm is partnering with Tom Harris to produce Juneteenth Celebration @ Times Square a cultural explosion happening in the Heart of New York City that champions black entrepreneurs wrapped in culture. This activation is important because we showcasing entrepreneurship and connecting entrepreneurs to local and regional business technical assistance. Additionally, we are connecting cultivating incubators/accelerators to harness local talent and or attract talent from nearby states. More importantly, internally, we are continuing to develop the regional ecosystem. Today's entrepreneurs are tomorrow's small businesses that will create local jobs. If you have time on June 15th join us. Let us know you are coming. https://lnkd.in/eiyBhPgE If you want to connect to be apart of the ecosystem comment below or send me an email to tasemere@thedmfirmnyc.com. I am at that stage of Event Production where things are 98% baked and good to go, but the last 2% is making me impatient and saying WTF in my head?!! Of course, things always fall into place the way they should. Grateful for that. Two days away from the staging of our 2nd annual Beyond the Beach Summit. It's an invite-only 3 days where hand-picked and invited American, Caribbean-American, and Jamaican investors and ready-for-the-next-level early-stage entrepreneurs meet for - knowledge exchange, - game-changing introductions - New business in New markets - Select Pitches - numerous opportunities to talk tech, digital business, and investing in a Caribbean and Global Context. Deliberately, done in an intimate and unconference style. The first one last April helped the @kingstonbeta community to grow, snag new partnerships, and make $54 million dollars worth of startup investments happen. Grateful for the partnership with Entrepreneurs Across Borders that's helping us at SiliconCaribe create and connect entrepreneurs to business and investment opportunities and an active global network. Day One Mission has always been: Showcase that yes, the Caribbean is a place you come to get your groove back and your tan on, it's also a place where Entrepreneurship, Innovation, and Excellence live, Beyond the Beach. #BeyondTheBeach #EntrepreneursAcrossBorders #SiliconCaribe #CaribbeanTech #DigitalBusiness #DEhPonAMission #MakinThingsHappen #PLayTheLongGame

I didn’t really expect this from New York… Because it’s everything…it’s complex, vibrant, and diverse, I just can’t seem to decide. It's either a great city or very complex. And I think that it's sort of highlighted to me, how hard it can be to start working on your personal brand in such a dynamic, complex business environment. You can certainly feel the entrepreneurial spirit that New York City has. You can choose, when you're in such a dynamic city, to be Innovative and to take bold steps. And if you really want to make it in a city like New York, you actually have to step out of your comfort zone. New York’s energy and relentless pace can be overwhelming, but it also provides endless opportunities to grow and push boundaries. The city never sleeps, and neither do the dreams of those who are determined to succeed. The dynamic business landscape in New York demands resilience, creativity, and a willingness to adapt. It’s a place where you learn to hustle, to network, and to find opportunities even in the most challenging situations. To build a successful personal brand, you need the same approach as making it in New York. It’s not just about hard work; it’s about being innovative, embracing the unknown, and daring to be different. Step out of your comfort zone, infuse that entrepreneurial spirit into your brand, and watch as incredible opportunities come your way. What do you think of New York? #newyork #business #entrepreneurship #personalbrand #linkedin

Spent last weekend at Start Up, Bulgaria, and here’s the takeaway: ambition trumps blueprint. The room was packed with people who may not have it all figured out yet, but they’re willing to put in the work—and that’s where the magic happens. ✅ I hit a few keynotes, but two stood out: Dessie Stoyanova: She didn’t just talk media strategy; she laid down how to actually grab attention in Bulgaria’s crowded space. The difference between a hit presentation and a flop? She nailed it—if you can’t sell your story, don’t expect anyone to buy in. 👀 Eftim Eftimov: His talk on intrapreneurship? Gold. If you’re looking to launch without leaving your current gig, this was the blueprint. Eftim, I need that deck—you’ve got my attention. 🎯 And to Vilislav Slavev and Oggy V.—you pulled off something that was more than just an event. It was a masterclass in bringing together a community that’s hungry, not just for success, but for the journey. 💕 Already counting down to the next one.
