Dhanteras, also known as Dhanatrayodashi, is a significant Hindu festival celebrated on the thirteenth day of the Krishna Paksha (dark fortnight) in the month of Kartik, usually falling between mid-October and mid-November. Worship of Lord Dhanwantari: Dhanteras is dedicated to Lord Dhanwantari, the god of health and medicine, who is believed to have emerged from the ocean with a pot of amrita (elixir) during the churning of the ocean (Samudra Manthan). 2.
