As we gather around tables filled with delicious food and cherished company, let's take a moment to reflect on the true essence of Thanksgiving. It's not just about the turkey and desserts (though they're certainly delightful!); it's about cultivating a spirit of gratitude that can transform our lives. As Melody Beattie beautifully expressed: "Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend." This Thanksgiving, let's challenge ourselves to look beyond the obvious and find gratitude in the little things:The warmth of a cozy home, The laughter of loved ones, The aroma of freshly baked bread, The beauty of fall colors, The gift of good health, What are you most thankful for this year? Share your gratitude in the comments below and spread the joy! Remember, gratitude is a practice that extends far beyond this holiday. Let's carry this spirit of thankfulness with us throughout the year, transforming our perspective and enriching our lives. Wishing you and yours a Happy Thanksgiving filled with love, laughter, and an abundance of blessings! 🦃🍂 #Thanksgiving #Gratitude #GiveThanks #FamilyTime #Blessed #ThankfulHeart #ThanksgivingDinner #FallFestivities #GratitudeAttitude #CountYourBlessings

Happy Thanksgiving from the Meridian Team! This time of year, we pause to reflect on all we’re grateful for—our families, friends, and the communities that make everything brighter. Whether you’re celebrating with a large gathering or keeping it cozy, we hope your day is filled with laughter, warmth, and great food. And since we all know the turkey coma struggle is real, here are 3 tips to keep Thanksgiving from turning into an eating marathon: 1. The “Taste-Don’t-Tackle” Approach: Sample a little of everything you love instead of tackling full portions—your future self (and your post-meal nap) will thank you. 2. Take Tiny Timeouts: Between each round of mashed potatoes and pie, take a moment to savor and enjoy. Pro tip: moving around between courses (even a quick walk) can help. 3. Dessert Strategy: Choose or Commit: Either pick your absolute favorite dessert or have a tiny taste of each. Your inner foodie gets the satisfaction, without the food coma! Wishing you a wonderful Thanksgiving filled with gratitude, joy, and cherished moments! #FamilyBusiness #Thanksgiving #Gratitude #Thankful #FamilyTime #HolidayTips #Meridian

🦃 Surviving Thanksgiving: Lessons in Gratitude and Grace 🦃 Thanksgiving isn’t just about turkey and pie (though let’s be honest, they’re top contenders). It’s also a masterclass in juggling family dynamics, culinary adventures, and finding moments of gratitude amidst the chaos. Here’s what I’ve learned about staying grounded this Thanksgiving: ✨ Delegate wisely: Not everything has to be homemade. A store-bought pie or Uncle Bob’s “signature” cranberry sauce can still bring people together. ✨ Plan for balance: Family conversations may veer off course—focus on what unites, not divides, us. And yes, dessert counts as unity. ✨ Take a breather: Whether it’s a walk or five minutes of quiet, stepping back can help us show up fully for those around us. It's ok to take a minute and come back fully present. ✨ Celebrate imperfections: Burned rolls or mismatched place settings don’t diminish the value of connection—they create memories. At its core, Thanksgiving reminds us to pause and appreciate the abundance in our lives—flawed, funny, and heartfelt as it may be. How do you stay present and find joy during the holiday season? Let’s share ideas to inspire each other. 👇

How Will You Stay Grounded and Grateful This Thanksgiving? Thanksgiving often feels like a blur—family, football, games, cooking, cleaning… repeat. It’s so easy to get swept up in the chaos and lose sight of the day’s deeper meaning. A few years ago, I heard a story at a women’s retreat that changed my perspective on how I approach the everyday tasks that often feel like a chore. One of the speakers shared how she despised washing dishes—no dishwasher, small house, nightly routine. The frustration and resentment built up every single day. But then she made one small shift. For every dish she washed, she’d pray for someone or give thanks for something. That simple tweak transformed a mundane, dreaded task into a sacred practice. It became a moment of presence and gratitude—a way to turn the ordinary into something extraordinary. Today, as I started cooking for Thanksgiving, I decided to try the same approach. With every dish I stirred or assembled, I focused on something I was grateful for: family, friends, health, memories, opportunities. For the first time in years, I found myself fully present—calm, grateful, and genuinely enjoying the process instead of rushing through it. So, I’ll ask you: how will you stay grounded and grateful this Thanksgiving? What practice will you adopt to bring intention and joy into the swirl of it all? Sometimes, it’s the smallest tweaks that make the biggest difference. Happy Thanksgiving! 🦃 #Gratitude #Presence #Thanksgiving #Mindfulness Give thanks to the Lord, because he is good; his love is eternal. 1 Chronicles 16:34

The Power of a Simple Tradition: The Gratitude Jar 🍁 In the quaint town of Willowbrook, the Harper family introduces a heartwarming Thanksgiving tradition: the Gratitude Jar. A week before the holiday, they place a beautifully decorated jar in their living room, inviting each family member to write down something they are thankful for every day. The jar quickly fills with notes of gratitude for seemingly small yet significant blessings: a helpful neighbor, a favorite book, a successful work project, the morning coffee, a child’s hug, a quiet moment before the day begins, the reliability of an old car, the smile from a stranger that lifted spirits unexpectedly, or even the timely resolution of a tech issue. As Thanksgiving unfolds, filled with the aroma of roasted turkey and pumpkin pie, family, friends, and neighbors gather around the Harper’s festive table. The highlight? Sharing the contents of the Gratitude Jar. Each note, read aloud, sparks smiles and nods, weaving a tapestry of shared appreciation and bringing everyone closer together. This simple act transforms their gathering from a mere feast into a profound celebration of life's blessings—reminding us that joy often lies in the simplest things. Why not bring the Gratitude Jar to your Thanksgiving tradition? It can be at work or at home? Or better yet, let’s not limit gratitude to one day. Imagine the impact of carrying this spirit through the whole year! 📢 I’d love to hear from you! What are you thankful for today? What small joys have made your day brighter? Drop a comment below, and let’s spread the spirit of gratitude together! #ThanksgivingTraditions #GratitudeJar #EverydayGratitude #FamilyTraditions #GratitudeAtWork #ShareYourThanks

Thanksgiving isn’t just about the turkey (though I’ll admit I have strong feelings about mashed potatoes). It’s become one of my favorite reminders of life’s best lessons—the kind that sneak up on you when you’re busy worrying about pie crusts and guest seating. Here’s what Thanksgiving has taught me over the years: ✨Gratitude isn’t a one-day event—it’s a mindset. It’s easy to focus on the good stuff when there’s a spread of food in front of you and laughter echoing through the room. But this day has shown me the power of carrying that gratitude into the chaos of the everyday. Gratitude shifts your perspective—it takes the “have to” and turns it into “get to.” ✨The magic is in the people. Whether it’s family, friends, coworkers, or that one random cousin who always shows up with the best stories, Thanksgiving is a reminder that connection matters most. It’s taught me to value the people who show up for me, even in life’s messiest moments (because let’s be honest, Thanksgiving prep is its own circus). ✨Imperfection is part of the charm. The burnt rolls, the mismatched plates, the awkward moments of silence before someone cracks a joke—these are the things we remember and laugh about later. Thanksgiving has reminded me that the best memories are rarely perfect, and life is richer when we embrace the imperfections. So, as I reflect on the lessons this season offers, I’d love to hear: What has Thanksgiving taught YOU? Share your wisdom (or your best pie hacks) below—because we all need a little inspiration and connection this week. Here’s to full plates, full hearts, and a full appreciation for the moments and people that make life sweeter. #ThanksgivingThoughts #GratitudeInAction #LeadershipLessons
