What does it take to fix a roof with multiple issues? 🛠️🏠 In the final chapter of Day in the Life of the Repair Project Manager, Ryan and the Repair Crew face their biggest challenge yet in Ronkonkoma! This roof had problem areas that couldn’t be ignored, including a section that required the precise removal of cedar siding. One wrong move could have caused even bigger issues, but Ryan and the team brought the expertise needed to get the job done right. Why should you care? Because roofs with multiple issues don’t fix themselves, and ignoring the problem can cost you more in the long run. 💰 See how Ryan tackled this interesting repair and think about your own—when was the last time it got the care it needed by a roofer who actually cares? 💬 #dayinthelife #roofrepair #ronkonkoma #roofingdonebetter #rapidroofing #roofing #longislandroofing #viral #bestvideos #viralreels

Throw back Thursday. Houston Texas, Circa 2013. As you can see, I've always taken safety very seriously. That includes making sure I'm well rested before, during or even after a hard days work on the roof 😂 #roofing #commercialroofing #roofreplacement #roofrepairs #reroof #roofleaks #construction #maintenance #propertymanagement #facilities #catnap

In Tecumseh, Michigan, Skyline Infrastructure took the first step by removing the dishes and mounting hardware from the top of the water tank to prepare it for cleaning and painting. It is essential to carry out required maintenance tasks such as cleaning and painting to ensure the water tank's longevity and proper functioning. Typically, the initial procedure for preparing a water tank for cleaning and painting includes eliminating any attachments and obstacles.

Six years into his solar career, Blue Ridge Power’s Max Isaacs fell from a two-story barn roof and sustained injuries including a concussion. He didn’t wear fall protection because he was comfortable with the size of the roof. His false sense of comfort walking on roofs caused him to ignore simple safety measures. Fall protection is essential for the clean power workforce. Max’s tip to those working at great heights: Make sure that your anchor points are identified during the design phase so you are prepared during construction. For metal, clay tile, or other non-asphalt roofs, you may need a specific anchoring device that isn't readily available. #ACPSafetyCampaign #SafetyFirstWorkforce Learn more: bit.ly/3ZfGchv

A colleague from out of town sent me this video, but this same thing also happens all over the Phoenix metro. A contractor came in in the middle of December and put a seal coat on this parking lot. The high temperature that day was 51 degrees. As you can see, this cheap seal coat is literally coming off with just his foot. But that's not even the worst part. Sure, this is obviously a blind money grab on the part of this contractor, but this parking lot owner should never have used a seal coat in the first place. This clearly required a more robust (and probably more expensive) solution. Probably a slurry, if I had to guess. So here this owner is, thinking they were getting a "cheap" option that was going to help their pavement last longer. In reality, this seal coat will probably be gone in 6 months, doing nothing to extend the life of this pavement, and the asphalt owner will still need to spend the money on the proper intervention. Moral of the story: the cheap option isn't always better. Get multiple opinions and choose based on value.
