127 years of experience
Happy Birthday! Only 1% of all companies exist for more than 100 years. The fact that we can already celebrate our 127th anniversary today is mainly attributable to our fantastic employees worldwide and the stable and trusting partnerships with customers and businesspartners. We therefore celebrate today in particular all around us and say "thank you" for everyone who has accompanied us on the way of the last 127 years a piece and brought us forward. #frmeyerssohn #fms1897 #127years #forwardingbusiness #anniversary #companystory #successstory #thankyou

Celebrating small wins has been crucial in staying motivated. It's a reminder that progress, no matter how incremental, is worth acknowledging. Last month, I was truly honored (and even a little speechless) to have received the Shining Star award at the GREATER DOWAGIAC CHAMBER OF COMMERCE's annual dinner. That award honors a business or person who "has gone above and beyond the boundaries of their workplace in service to the community." I share this not so much to toot my own horn — although we *are* on LinkedIn — but more to share my appreciation for how technology has made it possible to think differently about how we spend our time. Before my husband and I moved to this wonderful small town in Southwest Michigan, the smallest city I'd ever lived in was Jersey City, and let's face it: that's basically a borough of NYC when you think practically, if not from a tax perspective. For the nearly five years we've been here, I've been able to hold down a full-time executive role remotely. After leaving it at the end of 2023, I've grown my consulting business, working with a very wide range of clients when it comes to size, location, revenue, and more. Occasional travel? No problem. Getting to Chicago or Detroit is a breeze on Amtrak, and I'm near multiple airports where the drive is only slightly longer (or shorter in some cases) than the trip to O'Hare in traffic was. Plus, the time I save with my commute allows me to pour it into other pursuits I love, like volunteering in the community. Some of those volunteer activities are tied to things I've done professionally, like organizing our free summer concert series. That volunteer time ultimately helps make me sharper, happier, and better at whatever I'm working on professionally. All of this is to say that I'm so grateful to the clients and partners who embrace technology to access the best talent for their teams. Clearly, RTO is becoming more of a thing, and I get the "why" for a lot of companies. Plus, I agree that it's best for teams to occasionally be together in person, though there are many ways to achieve this. But I really appreciate those companies that have seen the light!

Honoring the Unsung Heroes of Our Workplaces 🌟 In the hustle of our daily work, there's a group of individuals who are often overlooked but are essential to our smooth operations: our office boys and support staff. They ensure that our work environment is clean, organized, and efficient, allowing us to focus on our tasks without interruptions. Their commitment and hard work often go unnoticed, yet they’re truly the backbone of the office. This season, I encourage everyone to take a moment to acknowledge their contributions. Instead of monetary gifts (which may impact their sense of dignity), let’s find meaningful ways to express our gratitude—thoughtful tokens of appreciation, small gifts, or even a thank-you note can make them feel valued. Imagine how impactful it would be if companies could organize events or recognition programs specifically for our support staff. A simple gesture could boost morale and remind everyone that every role is integral to the organization's success, no matter how big or small. Let’s make sure they know their hard work doesn’t go unnoticed. They deserve our gratitude and respect. 💙 🎖 #employeeappreciation #officeheroes #supportstaff #workspacegratitude #teamrecognition #unsungheroes #inclusiveworkplace #WorkplaceWellbeing #RecognitionMatters #Teamwork #Thankyou #RespectAndDignity #OfficeSupport

I’ve been thinking about the importance of the journey, rather than the destination, but is it not the people with us on our journey who make it all worthwhile. We had an important meeting on Friday, I was with colleagues, a team. It was part of the journey that would hopefully lead to the desired outcome. It was the people I was with that made it a unique experience. Trust in each other. Diversity. Knowledge pooled together, creating a dynamic team. People that support, challenge and inspire. Constructive feedback. Those people we meet on the journey that leave a lasting impression. Shaping of our experiences and memories. Assisting us to become the best versions of ourselves. The sense of community and shared purpose. Making it memorable and worthwhile. Celebrate the journey, always respectfully, with those who care. They are the ones who make the journey extraordinary. And the results meaningful and significant. And on our continent we should always assist in creating meaningful journeys for others.

Moments of connection can transform our working day. It might be a kind word from a colleague, some support from your manager or a mentor’s advice and guidance. The question to reflect on today: 👉 Who at work are you especially grateful for this week? Do they know how much you appreciate them? What might happen if you took a moment today to share your appreciation? It might just make someone’s day! #WednesdayWisdom #Teamwork #WorkplaceAppreciation #GratitudeAtWork #PositiveCulture

🅲🅴🅻🅴🅱🆁🅰🆃🅸🅽🅶 🅾🆄🆁 🅲🅾🅻🅻🅴🅰🅶🆄🅴 🅷🅰🅿🅿🆈 🅳🅰🆈🆂: 🅱🅴🅷🅸🅽🅳 🆃🅷🅴 🆂🅲🅴🅽🅴🆂 🎉 ... At our Office, every milestone big or small is a reason to celebrate, and our “Colleague Happy Days” have become a tradition we look forward to. Behind the scenes, it’s more than just an event; it’s a way of reminding each other that we’re seen, valued, and appreciated. ⏺️ From organizing a surprise board full of inspiring quotes our team members have shared to personal messages of appreciation, we make it a day that’s all about celebrating who they are and what they bring to our journey together. Here’s how it usually goes: Iheanacho Nwokearu once said, “Success is about the journey and the people with you.” It’s fitting that on their day, we surprise them with messages and moments from our journey together, highlighting how they’ve made each step meaningful. For Ugochi Jideofor-Okoro B.SC, MBA, ACIB , CSM true motivator who reminds us, “We’re only as strong as our unity,” we create a collage of moments where teamwork made the dream work. It’s amazing how revisiting these times reinforces the bond we share. And for those who constantly encourage us to grow, like Christiana Chilezie who always says, “Learn and lead with kindness,” we bring everyone together to share what we’ve learned from them. It’s heartwarming and shows how a simple act of kindness goes a long way. These days are a reminder of the positive impact each of us has on the team. The laughter, the camaraderie, and the genuine connection are what make us not just colleagues but a community. Celebrating “Colleague Happy Days” isn’t just a tradition—it’s a testament to our belief in lifting each other up. 👇 Yesterday was about Godwin Favour 🔥🌟 What about your team? Do you have a special way of celebrating each other behind the scenes? I’d love to hear your own stories and traditions that bring you together! #TeamCulture #CelebrateEachOther #BehindTheScenes #CompanyTraditions #WorkplaceCommunity #Growthmindset
