Let's create more space for butterflies 🦋 One of the biggest threats to butterflies and moths in the UK is habitat loss. They need places where they can feed, breed and shelter. That’s why we're asking for your help in creating more #WildSpaces where butterflies and moths can live, and we're not just talking gardens! You could make more room for nature around your workplace or team up to transform a shared area in your community. No matter the size of the space, you can help make a difference. 🌱💚 Find out how 👉 https://wild-spaces.co.uk/ 📷: Small Tortoiseshell - Ursula Juta

Wildlife are drawn to your home by trash, food, or the promise of something comfortable to nest in. If these pests aren't properly removed, they can cause extensive damage to your property and your home, including chewing through electrical wiring, damaging your siding, damaging your home's wooden structure, and more. https://lnkd.in/gUxbMSw #nuisancewildlife #wildlife #pestcontrol #pests #charlestonpests #charlestonpestcontrol #CHSpests #chspestcontrol #atlanticpest

Thank You Cari Burns👍 We truly need more folks across the board to step up because wildfires are becoming more devestating with each passing year. Often, negligence, the lack of education, lack of cognitive awareness of one’s surroundings, and poor human behavior contributes up to 90% of wildfire ignitions. Case in point, La Pine, Oregon USA 🇺🇸. Darlene fire 🔥 in year 2021 burned just under 700 acres which could have devastated the community from a homeless camp ⛺️. Darlene-2 fire 🔥 in early June 2024 burned just under 7 acres from a homeless camp ⛺️. Darlene-3 fire 🔥 in late June 2024 burned 3900+ acres from a homeless camp ⛺️. This fire 🔥 under the right fire weather conditions could have destroyed the entire community. This is just one example from one community where homeless encampments pose a significant wildfire threat to the greater community. Often these folks suffer from mental illness, the lack of cognitive awareness of one’s surroundings along with a lack of education as how to prevent wildfires. These are the folks who fell through society’s cracks as they occupy federal lands with high fuel loads. Measures must be taken to remove them from these lands. We must find ways to transition these folks into supervised fire 🔥 safe locations. In order to begin the process of mitigating these situations it will require a consortium of stakeholders from federal, state, county, and municipal levels of government to private landowners and local communities within the Wildland-Urban-Interface. Often human infrastructure and wildlands remain at odds under fire 🔥 weather conditions. These are the areas that impact nearly 100 million Americans. Ron Rommel, Forestry Professional, Author and Resident near La Pine, Oregon USA 🇺🇸.
