First of all: Columbus did not discover America... This is Bull-shit. Between the Chinese, Mongols and the Vikings, they've already detailed the northern-hemisphere down until the equator. They couldn't pass south of the equator because they can't see the North-Star from the equator to rely on it. They've also managed to implement a compass pointing to the north. Second: Magellan met a Cebuano via ports of India...(from one of the Philippines' 7,000 islands) a warrior, sailor, and who learned to be a well versed translator, who was knowledgeable of the Southern-Cross (Southern-Hemisphere's star-constellation that is the equivalent of the North-Star of the northern half of the world. He had the maps of the southern islands (Ladrones, Philippine archipelago, Borneo, Indonesian archipelago, etc.)... to be able to traverse the South China Sea, Celebes Sea, Indian Ocean, South African Cape, etc... and return the 12 remaining sailors out of the 240 Spaniards and Portuguese. Third: King Lapu-Lapu beheaded Magellan after he ordered an attack on his island of Mactan, after refusal to surrender to the Spanish baptismal ceremony. The 12 remaining sailors made it through the maze of islands in no time to get back to Spain. Fourth: Even the mongols showed-off with an attack of Japan and the southernmost tip of Java (with Marco Polo and the Pope's blessing) that ended in a failure that devastated the unbeatable mongol-horde into extinction. And: Filipinos fought the Spanish-Conquistadores for 300 years (swords against guns), until their big brothers (Americans) came to help, and destroyed the Spanish Armada in 3 hours in Manila Bay... with only one casualty, of a heat-stroke... Now big brother needs our help.

Why do some countries say "Tea" and some say "Chai"? 🫖 🍵 Largely, it depends on how they got their Tea! Regions that were introduced to Tea through land routes, like the silk road, commonly use "Cha", the more wide spread word for Tea in Mandarin and Cantonese. On the other hand, areas that were introduced to Tea through sea trade use "Te", after the southern Min dialect pronunciation, prevalent near the ports used by European traders in southern China.
