Real Estate Sales Agent: 📜 Qualifications: A sales agent works under the supervision of a licensed real estate broker. They typically need to pass a licensing exam but don’t have the qualifications required to operate independently. 👥 Role: Sales agents assist clients in buying, selling, or leasing properties. They help with property showings, negotiations, and paperwork but cannot run a real estate business on their own. 🧑💼 Supervision: Always works under a licensed broker who oversees their activities. 2. Real Estate Broker: 📜 Qualifications: A broker has more advanced education and experience compared to a sales agent. They have passed a higher-level licensing exam and are qualified to own and operate a real estate firm. 👥 Role: Brokers can do everything a sales agent does, but they can also manage their own business, hire agents, and supervise their activities. I’m sat here trying to think of a tag line that’ll peak your interest. But perhaps you’re just a Commercial Account Executive who wants to step up into a management position. After all, you have experience across all commercial products, have a track record in growing books of business and you have a lot of knowledge that you want to pass on to others. Sold! In all seriousness you’re obviously at a point where you’re thinking ‘what next?’ And that what next isn’t where you currently are. You’ve perhaps even had that conversation already. But it could be with the commercial broker I’m currently working with. You’ll essentially be the go-to between the broking team of 4 and the MD. But before I go into the actual role there’s a few things you should know. - You’ll get unlimited holiday here. Yes, really. - Have the best of both in an office and home working environment. - They’ll help you step up into this role. So if you haven’t had loads of experience in managing a team before then it’s no problem. All they ask is that you like people. - Exposure into the operations of a business. Giving you the chance to broaden your skillset and knowledge. And, your development is important. They have already been taking about where this position could lead to for you in future years. Essentially it’s a role that’ll incorporate your experience as a Commercial Account Executive and experience in growing books of business. After all, they’re not going to reach the target of £5million GWP in 5 years by just servicing existing clients. But don’t panic, you won’t be knocking down doors on an industrial estate. The team will do that for you. Only joking, they may not be knocking down doors so to speak but you will need to be the one to lift up their spirts to grow their own books of business. And the right way. This particular broker have strong values when it comes to their clients. Building relationships with those they work on behalf of properly and really helping when it comes to a claim.
