Chorea is characterized by irregular, involuntary movements that appear to flow into one another, often localized to one side of the body due to the brain's hemispheric control. This asymmetry in movement can help identify the specific area of the brain affected, which is crucial for targeted rehabilitation efforts. Observing differences in eye movements, hand motions, or walking patterns can provide insights into the underlying neurological issues, allowing for more precise treatment rather than generalized activities. Understanding these nuances is essential for effective diagnosis and therapy in patients exhibiting neurological symptoms. Our patients often ask us "Why are there butterflies everywhere?" when they first come to our #greenvillesc practice. The answer explains our entire approach to neurological care. You see, when a caterpillar begins its metamorphosis, imagine the fear it must feel. It has no idea what's ahead, if it will be okay. Changes just happen. And then, after a period of darkness, it becomes a butterfly. It can fly and experience life in a new way. We believe our patients can do that, too. Having a neurological disorder ISN'T the end. We'll help you get through the darkness you might feel, the fear keeping you up at night. Our team will cocoon you with personalized care and work with you to build a treatment plan that makes sense for YOUR life. We'll help you evolve and persevere, with us cheering you on, knowing what can await you on the other side of the struggle. If that sounds like the kind of team and support you need, give us a call to schedule your appointment and come see the butterflies. We can't wait to meet you. ___ #multiplesclerosis #chronicpain #multiplesclerosisawareness #yeahthatgreenville #gvlsc #upstatesc #chronicillness
