Senior hiring is often about unlocking the potential of the existing team. Sometimes directly - say, a manager, to organise and streamline and remove blockers. But often indirectly - earlier in the year I helped a company hire a Head of Operations, which was mostly about improving the Sales Team's focus - a more stable core operations team means happier customers and more expansion opportunities. The question is, what is the right scope for the unlocking role? And, how can you make that a job that appeals to potential candidates?
