The Apple Vision Pro is here* at last! *Our office, coming to the UK on Friday! This brand-new 'spatial computer' could well be the biggest leap in our workflows since the iPad was launched back in 2015. Or it could be a gimmick. What do you think?

You know what's happened on Tuesday (2 days ago) during the Apple's iPad event? Let me introduce the event. Three days ago I wrote a post commenting Apple’s delay in the #AI Race and I reported what Apple’s research is doing in the AI domain to recover its delay. I added that based on Apple’s research papers it looks like they are doing nothing for the creation economy. So I re-stated in the post what I wrote many months ago, “if Apple will not correctly interpret the transition from the consumption economy to the creation economy, the Future will bring decline for Apple". Well, what they did the day after - during the iPad Event - is unbelievable. I’m impressed by the coincidence. Apple showed a one-minute ad of the new iPad Pro. The ad shows a massive press crushing a pile of what can only be described as a collection of creative tools. There's a piano, a guitar, and some camera lenses, along with other creative tools like paint and books and a sculpture. All of it ends up destroyed, and in its place, you can see the iPad Pro. The response to the ad has been tremendously negative. Tim Cook shared the ad on X (see below). At the time I'm writing this post, it has more than 40 mln visualizations and more than 11,000 replies. I went through them and I couldn't find a single positive reply. The general sentiment seems to be that the ad (and the iPad) is “demonic”, “destructive” and “extremely distasteful”. For instance, this is a reply to Cook's post: “Demonic inversion. You say "Just imagine all the things it’ll be used to CREATE”. But the video shows a thousand beautiful things being DESTROYED”. A second reply to Cook’s post is, “I'm a creator, a traditional artist, a macintosh user of many years, yet I never even understand why would I need an iPad, and this destruction is extremely distasteful and would never convince me but otherwise”. A third reply is, “I ask this as a loyal Apple customer since the late 80s: What the hell is WRONG with you??? That was extremely painful to watch. Every single second.” I think it’s enough. So I re-re-state what I wrote many months ago: if Apple will not correctly interpret the transition from the consumption economy to the creation economy, the Future will bring #decline for Apple. Apple truly looks not to be able to interpret correctly the transition from the consumption economy to the creation economy, and its fans are reacting as I predicted. #BrandStrategy #CreationEconomy Bartolomeo Rongone Andrea Baldo Davide Zanolini Simona Cattaneo Roberto Eggs Marco Giulio Magnanini Marco Palmieri Micaela Le Divelec Lemmi Ryan Gellert Simone Pacciarini Simone Dominici Enrico San Pietro Alberto Federici Marco Sesana Pietro Sella Giorgio Presca Frédéric Arnault Marcus Abbott Patrick Cohen Federico Funaro Marco Santucci Cristina Scocchia Leonardo Maria Del Vecchio Tim Cook's post https://lnkd.in/d-hEg_uk

Apple has announced a surprise event on May 7th, where they are expected to unveil new additions to the iPad line, including a new iPad Pro, iPad Air, #Apple Pencil, and a keyboard case. The event may also see the launch of the new M4 chip, just six months after the company introduced the M3 chips. The quick silicon refresh is likely due to supply chain issues that delayed the M3 launch, and Microsoft's rumored launch of its third-party silicon at Build in late May. http://AXESecurities.com Revolutionize Your Trading Experience #TechNews #FinancialMarkets #MarketWatch #StockMarket #IPAD #AI

Yesterday Apple apologized for the iPad Pro commercial that was shown on Tuesday at their iPad event (read the story in my post below). Never too late to apologize, but what Apple did proves how they see the Future. And they see it in a wrong way. It might be that Tim Cook is becoming old and losing sight of where the Future leads - as reported by Bloomberg on Wednesday in an article titled "Tim Cook Can’t Run Apple Forever. Who’s Next?" 👉 https://lnkd.in/diqQWPF5 - however, I'm quite convinced that is the Apple's culture and identity that could be the real cause, not Tim's age. #BrandStrategy #CreationEconomy #BrandIdentity

Meet the new iPress Pro: the ultimate tool to create the thinnest products you have ever used. Just imagine all the things you can smash ! 📍 On May 7, 2024, Apple released a promo video of the "new" iPad Pro. The "Unbelievably Thin and Incredibly Powerful", new member of the iPad product family, as the result of smashing under a huge hydraulic press a tower of creative tools and analog items! 📍 The message is clear; destroy "old" things you don't need, cause the new little digital device can do all that and more, without annoying stuff like strings, keys, buttons, brushes, or mixing stations. 🚩 Apple is mistaken in semiotics; the digital #transformation appears harmful and forced, a technotopian vision of a flat future, where creativity is captured between an #AI "friend" and a cold glass screen! 🚩 Apple is presenting a dystopian #digital future, oppressed and flat! 💡 Unless this is already our physical present!

Apple Intelligence has better photo search capabilities If you remember part of memory/photo/video but can't find the photo, you can describe part of the memory in natural language and it will find it for you #Apple #AppleIntelligence #iPhone16 #AppleEvent

Apple #WWDC2024 Impressions: - Looks like we can save some money on 1Password and Grammarly after the new update rolls out.💰 - It's also a clear direction that Apple's closed ecosystem can flourish by leveraging a great context for the LLM across devices. ✨ - One missing feature: mirroring Mac from iPad. That would be a fantastic addition! What do you think? 💻 And AI(Apple Intelligence) -> typical Apple 🍏

From Gurman of Bloomberg: "The Vision Pro headset ushered Apple into the mixed-reality category, which the company refers to as spatial computing. But its greatest potential may be replacing the Mac and iPad, rather than becoming an entirely new revenue source. And for the device to make any meaningful headway, the company will have to develop a cheaper model and ideally bring it to market within the next two years." #mixedreality #spatialcomputing #virtualreality #augmentedreality #hardware #apple #visionpro
