Building a Legacy of Positivity and Growth The Children of Fallen Heroes mission is about more than just our organization or any one individual—it’s about something much bigger. It’s about taking care of the foundations of what truly matters: family and children. When we invest in these pillars, we create a ripple effect of strength, resilience, and hope that extends far beyond us. Our work is rooted in the belief that by fostering a positive community movement, we encourage growth and the power of positivity. We have the opportunity to build up our families and our communities in ways that inspire and uplift, ensuring that future generations not only thrive but carry forward these values of compassion and care. At the heart of everything we do is the commitment to honoring the legacies of those who have sacrificed for us. But beyond that, it’s also about laying the groundwork for those who come next, creating an environment where every child has the opportunity to grow, learn, and be supported by a community that believes in them. Together, we can cultivate a future where our children feel empowered, our families feel supported, and our communities grow stronger through shared purpose and unity. This movement is about building lasting connections, creating positive change, and ensuring that no one is left behind. Let’s keep moving forward—together, for the children, for the families, for the future.

The case study for Childhood Dreamstakes, a campaign we crafted with Gus for Comic Relief US, is now on our site. By donating to help end childhood poverty, entrants had the opportunity to crush a car in a monster truck, devour a life-size cookie of themselves, befriend a penguin, and much more! From helping brainstorm prizes (surreal wonders as if dreamed-up by a child) to crafting a campaign identity (pulling inspiration from retro game shows) to rendering 3D models (can we get a little more cotton candy on this castle, please?), it was an absolute pleasure to craft the world’s silliest prizes for a world without childhood poverty. It all culminated in building a website that not only served as a beautiful stage to let our renders shine, but effortlessly integrated within the larger Comic Relief ecosystem and their preferred donation platform. Special attention was paid to creating a frictionless UI/UX that guided users to donate generously to a great cause. So, if you happen to see a hot air balloon with someone’s face on it, or a giant science fair volcano erupting, know that it’s more than a delightfully absurd celebration. It’s a symbol for a little less childhood poverty, a little more childhood. https://lnkd.in/g2QArr-g

In today's fast-paced world, the importance of building a home where children feel safe, loved, and eager to return cannot be overstated. My husband DC, and I have been very intentional about what we allowed our son to see, hear, or be exposed to. This intentionality was not about sheltering him from reality, but about providing a foundation of love, wisdom, and guidance. Now, at 20 and 18, our sons are away at college, navigating their own paths and making their own decisions. It is a profound blessing to see them come home, eager to share their experiences, laugh with us, and seek our counsel. This is the reward of creating a nurturing and supportive environment. We understand that our sons must make their own choices and face the consequences of their decisions. Yet, we firmly believe that the wisdom imparted by their elders will always serve as their anchor. In life's rough seas, our home is their lighthouse, offering light and guidance. By being intentional in our parenting, we have fostered a relationship built on trust and mutual respect. It is this foundation that encourages our children to run to us, not away from us, whenever they need support or simply a place to feel at home. For those of you raising children, remember: the time, love, and effort you invest in them now will pay dividends in the future. Create a home where they always feel welcome and valued, and you will find them returning to you, not out of obligation, but out of love and respect. What if every school made service to others a core part of education? Imagine the profound impact it would have on the next generation. → Teaching kids empathy, → Compassion, and → The true meaning of community. One of my favourite things in this world is spending time with the kids from our Give Back School and Serving alongside them to help feed the homeless in downtown Rio de Janeiro. The joy and love I see in their eyes during these moments fills my heart in ways words cannot describe. I believe that, Introducing service to others as a regular practice in every school would have a profound, Long-lasting impact on children’s lives. → It teaches empathy, → Community, and → The joy that comes from giving back. Serving others is more than an act of kindness and it’s a lesson in humanity that every child should experience. Live Generously Umberto —-------- PS. Family First: A Legacy of Love and Values In the race for success, it’s easy to get caught up in business and material pursuits, but the true measure of wealth lies in the love and lessons we pass on to our children. Prioritizing family means giving our children not just our resources, but our time, attention, and presence. Children need to feel seen, heard, and valued. They thrive when we teach them the importance of gratitude, kindness, and resilience—values that empower them far beyond the fleeting satisfaction of material things. Instead of chasing wealth for its own sake, let’s show them that contentment is found in meaningful relationships, personal growth, and making a positive impact on others. By choosing family over fleeting pursuits, we invest in a legacy that shapes future generations, creating a world where love and character are valued more than possessions. Let’s lead by example and give our children the greatest gift: a foundation built on love, values, and the courage to pursue purpose over profit.

As Easter approaches, a time of profound reflection and celebration for many of us, we at Parable Communications are reminded of our shared values with faith-based organizations. We, too, believe in hope, renewal, and the incredible gift of salvation. As we navigate the journey of helping these organizations amplify their voices, we're also reminded of Easter's more profound mission that we all strive to uphold. Easter is more than a holiday; it's a pivotal moment that offers everyone the gift of grace and redemption. It's a time when the message of love, sacrifice, and resurrection comes to the forefront, reminding us of the ultimate sacrifice made for salvation. In this season of renewal, we're inspired to think about how we, as a collective community, can further embody these principles in our daily missions. How can each of us, in our unique roles, carry the message of hope and love to those around us? How can our collective actions reflect the transformative power of this season? If you lead a faith-based organization, Easter is a profound opportunity for you to reconnect with your core mission. It's a chance to reflect on how your work serves as a testament to the values we cherish during this season. Whether through service, outreach, or simply being a beacon of hope in your community, every effort makes a difference. As we celebrate Easter, remember the gift of salvation and new beginnings. May this time encourage us to look beyond our challenges and see the opportunities for growth, impact, and renewal in our missions.
