During the meeting, we were invited along with others to contribute via a working group, a crucial opportunity to ensure that volleyball's growing Queenstown community is not overlooked in these exciting developments. This is a perfect example of how we assist our clients—by actively engaging with councils, providing a voice in key discussions, and advocating for the inclusion of sports like volleyball in the planning stages of new facilities. Premier League Brighton Albion vs Manchester City - Brighton high pressing to avoid participation from double pivots in near positioning from 1st phase build up - anticipations in overload central zone with sufficient players to start a threatening offensive sequence - out of possession switching from a midblock 1-4-4-2 to a dynamic man oriented marking to certain players ( Hinshelwood to foden + igor to pair) - numerical matching (6v6) to obstruct forward progression from city, forced to play back in negative passes + dynamic pressing from Brighton to not allow time and space to GK to play with nearest receiver, forced to play long. - Usage of concept of play "Overload into Isolation" with proper dynamics in central channels + engagers to generate jumps in inner corridors + liberating time and space for winger ( in this situation, Joao Pedro in role of engager to generate space for Mitoma) providing maximal width to become best receiver for ball carrier ( Van Hecke) Brighton positional play in inner and outside corridors and aggressiveness out of possession was top notch. The lack of correction from city in the the overload to isolate from Brighton was extremely difficult as Brighton utilizes decoys + fantastic individual body positioning from w/o and w/ possession players to force opposition markers to stay alert. The lack of participation from foden + rico lewis or Kovacic in creation was through a fantastic job in individual tight marking and approaching rapidly to not allow time and space to threatening players to know their next action.
