🇪🇺 **Discussion in ECON Committee on the EDIS Report Draft** On Wednesday, March 20, the European Parliament's ECON Committee discussed the draft report regarding the European Deposit Insurance Scheme (EDIS). 📜 **Background of the File**: Originally led by Esther de Lange during the 8th and 9th legislative terms, the work did not lead to a conclusion in the committee. Othmar Karas took over the file in February 2024 and presented a draft report on March 4, 2024. ✅ **Content of the Draft**: The report proposes a single amendment, transforming EDIS into a liquidity support scheme.
