🌟 A Time for Choosing: Embracing Progress Beyond Political Lines 🌟 Today marks the 60th anniversary of President Ronald Reagan's iconic "A Time for Choosing" speech, where he profoundly stated, "You and I are told increasingly we have to choose between a left or right. Well, I'd like to suggest there is no such thing as a left or right. There's only an up or down." This powerful message reminds us that as leaders, professionals, and citizens, our focus should be on collaboration, progress, and lifting our communities together. In a time of division, let’s prioritize ideas that elevate us all, striving for growth rather than polarization. Let’s move forward, together—choosing to rise above the fray and seeking shared solutions for a brighter future. #Leadership #Collaboration #Progress #RonaldReagan #ATimeForChoosing #Inspiration #Mentoring #Coaching #Management #ExecutiveSuite

Today's political leaders often cite “the Reagan years” as a benchmark for American success and effective leadership. Galvanized by our opposition to Soviet influence, and lured by the promise of economic prosperity, Reagan’s popularity soared as his political ideologies became lasting policies. In the years that followed, the legacy of the Reagan Presidency has left an enduring scar on our national history. The Ray Gun Revolution explores the genesis of his political philosophy, his unlikely rise from B-list actor to political power player, the myth of the “defeat” of the Soviet Empire, the systems of economic disparity that he helped usher in, and the impact this “great 20th century leader” has left on our struggle to define our national identity today. https://a.co/d/9sg2cqb

What would you consider to be the most "American" thing? Is it baseball? Is it a hot dog? Is it Hollywood? Is it a big truck? Is it Disneyland? All of these concepts are fairly recent associations with the USA. In a country that has existed across four different centuries, there is something far more fundamental to tap into. Every time a new US President has stood up to deliver their inauguration speech, they have tried to tap into this essence of what binds their country together. George W. Bush was the first president to take office in the 21st Century. As the USA looked forward to its next 99 years of existence, how could he sum up what it means to be American? He focused on "The American Story", highlighting the key tenets that had helped the country to evolve over the preceding centuries, and where it could take them in the future. I've analysed Bush's speech, pointing out what we can learn from the well executed points of his speech, and from how he could have improved it. Watch this video to listen to the next chapter of America's story. #publicspeaking #speeches #leadership

***Reflecting on the life of Ulysses S. Grant | Powerful lessons for the Talent Development industry Reflecting on the life of Ulysses S. If you like to know about American culture, check out some facts about the United States flag! Until the Executive Order of June 24, 1912, neither the order of the stars nor the proportions of the flag were prescribed. Consequently, flags from before this period sometimes show unusual arrangements of the stars and strange proportions, these characteristics being left to the discretion of the flag maker. In general, however, straight rows of stars and proportions similar to those later officially adopted were used. The main acts affecting the flag of the United States are as follows: 👉🏽 Flag Resolution of June 14, 1777, stated, “Resolved: that the flag of the United States be made of thirteen stripes, alternate red and white; that the union be thirteen stars, white in a blue field, representing a new Constellation.” 👉🏽 Act of January 13, 1794, provided for 15 stripes and 15 stars after May 1795. 👉🏽 Act of April 4, 1818, provided for 13 stripes and one star for each state, to be added to the flag on the 4th of July following the admission of each new state. 👉🏽 Executive Order of President Taft dated June 24, 1912, established proportions of the flag and provided for arrangement of the stars in six horizontal rows of eight each, a single point of each star to be upward. 👉🏽 Executive Order of President Eisenhower dated January 3, 1959, provided for the arrangement of the stars in seven rows of seven stars each, staggered horizontally and vertically. 👉🏽 Executive Order of President Eisenhower dated August 21, 1959, provided for the arrangement of the stars in nine rows of stars staggered horizontally and eleven rows of stars staggered vertically. Their intentions are clear
Listen to Douglas Murray speech's during The Hamilton award dinner: "Israel is up against cult of death [Radical Islam], a cult which wishes to annihilate an entire race and which after dealing with that race has made very clear what it wants to do with Christians, everyone in Britain, everyone in America and everyone else next. They don't hide it at all. And we are merely stupid and not believing them"
