But not many people want to do what it takes: *Grind in the trenches for 10 years. *Give up a 6 (or 7) figure income. *Cold call daily for years. *Feel overwhelmed. *Fire a friend. *Do things you're not good at. *Go full speed with no guarantees of success. Yet the best founders do those things every day. For years and years. When no one else is willing to do the hard, messy, daily work... I love this Kathryn O'Day! Ronnie Coleman is amazing. I remember seeing him featured in all the body building magazines. He's a beast and he's absolutely right. Ronnie was my friend's hero and he practiced the same work ethic. I had the pleasure of working out with a former Mr. Teen Georgia, Vince, for four months in Turkey will deployed. (And realized it wasn't too hard to eat a six egg omelet for breakfast, an entire chicken for lunch and a pound of tuna for dinner.) I gained a lot of strength and knowledge during this time, but I could not keep up with his intensity in the gym. He was obviously more committed to his goals at the time than I was. I ended up repping 325 on the bench, but Vince was at least 30 pounds lighter and repping more. lol I miss my friend. Favorite quote, "Whatever It Takes!" Great parallels made in your post. Luckily I learned a lesson from Vince in 1998 from weight lifting that serves me well in business in 2024. Thank you Vince! Try not to laugh, but we rode in a tiny Dolmus (look it up) for hours, but stopped for a photo on the way to Alanya for 2 days R&R; the Mediterranean is behind us, it was awesome! I was 26 at the time. I was flexing as hard as I could here, he was not. 🤣
