Some interesting stats from Avison Young’s ‘Office Busyness Index’. Tracking office occupancy in around 4,000 properties, the index shows big upticks in 28 out of 41 tracked markets, especially in Manhattan, Washington D.C., and San Francisco. And as of June 2024, it suggests that office busyness in the US is 61.9% compared to a June 2019 baseline. Hybrid work is clearly here to stay, but it is interesting to see data showing such a positive trend in usage. I would be interested to hear whether or not these stats match other companies’ actual experiences with office attendance.
