Automation Testing vs Manual Testing: Key Difference Manual Testing is done manually by QA analyst (Human) whereas Automation Testing is done with the use of script, code and automation tools (computer) by a tester. Manual Testing process is not accurate because of the possibilities of human errors whereas the Automation process is reliable because it is code and script based. Manual Testing is a time-consuming process whereas Automation Testing is very fast. Manual Testing is possible without programming knowledge whereas Automation Testing is not possible without programming knowledge. Types of Testing in Manual Quality Assurance (QA) Manual Testing Human execution of test procedures without using test automation tools or programming languages. Black Box Testing Testing done from the user's perspective, with no access to the source code. Gray Box Testing Utilizes structural, design, and/or environment information to focus and expand Black Box testing, enhancing productivity with the use of appropriate methods and tools. White Box Testing Conducted at the source code level, based on the knowledge of the application's internal logic. Functional Testing Conducted to verify that a system’s functions work as specified. These functions are often outlined in work products like requirements and specifications but may also be undocumented. Non-Functional Testing Tests attributes of a component or system that do not relate to specific functionality, such as reliability, efficiency, usability, maintainability, compatibility, etc. #sqa #testing #manualtesting #qajobsinlahore
