After interviewing 11 cybersecurity business leaders at RSA, here are my key takeaways. 1. Nothing is as critical to the success of an early-stage company as having the right team. As Amiram Shachar put it “A company is as strong as the people inside”. 2. GenAI & LLMs are on everyone’s mind. Teams need to secure how their organization builds and consumes GenAI and navigate its impacts on cybersecurity. The floodgates have opened to business experiments and a wave of AI-based startups offering USPs from LLM and GenAI applications. Vivek Ramachandran shared insight into data leakage around LLMs. 3. Emergence of regulations and compliance. Tons of new regulations are coming out. Tom McAndrew shared “The average global company has between 6-30 regulations to stay on top of".
