This was truly a gut punch for me. Michael J. Lotito was the reason why I pursued private practice. His passion, dedication, true grit, deep legal knowledge, and forward thinking perspective gave me a blueprint for my career. But, aside from his prowess in my practice area, there is one thing he always said to me that I will hold on my heart: "Joe, being a good lawyer is not just about knowing the facts, the law, or the policy. You have to be a good person." He believed in me when I did not believe in myself, and taught me how to be audacious in pursuing my goals while staying humble in my pursuit. As he said many times, and in many places, with pure sincereity "Be kind to each other, take care of one another." A legal giant with an unmatched legacy now rests. To paraphrase Shakespeare: We shall never see his like again. https://lnkd.in/eqRvfKrc
Yesterday, the Littler family lost our dear friend and colleague, Michael J. Lotito. As a shareholder, Board member, and leader of the firm’s Workplace Policy Institute, Michael was an integral part of our firm, and his contributions were immeasurable. A brilliant legal mind and strategist, he will be deeply missed, and we send our condolences to his family and loved ones. https://bit.ly/41KfO0h
