As Christmas approaches, it’s the perfect time to pause and reflect on our resolutions for 2025. As an HR leader, you face numerous decisions every day; but how can you ensure those decisions are the right ones? Yesterday, Jobsdb was thrilled to host our inaugural Christmas Executive Luncheon at the Island Shangri-La Hotel, where over 50 HR executives gathered to connect. We were honoured to have 黃仲遠 Mills Wong, a registered industrial-organisational psychologist from ROCK Training Consultants Limited, as our guest speaker who delivered an inspiring talk on the art of decision-making. Additionally, Bill Lee Chern Hsing, Managing Director of Jobsdb Hong Kong, took the opportunity to share some of our upcoming initiatives for 2025 aimed at easing the hiring burden and enhancing employers' brand presence. Stay tuned for more of our upcoming hirer events to get inspired!

Every year around this time, I write a piece about the end-of-year festivities and Christmas parties. I don't want to dampen the holiday spirit or the good cheer of these long-awaited celebrations but here's the truth: alongside the fun and festivities, there may be opportunities for things to go horribly wrong. What HR managers need to understand is that when this happens at the workplace or during a workplace event, it changes things considerably. This is when the preparation we do, considering all angles, can truly support us and make a difference. Here are several key HR activities you should consider for your year end planning. Do you have any additional activities to add to this list? #Celebration #OfficeParty #HRplanning
Have you communicated the expected behaviours to your managers and employees for your end-of-year festivities and parties? Do your managers know exactly what to do if an issue arises at a work event? As the year draws to a close, are you busy crafting plans and action items for the new year? The end of year is the perfect time for reflection and review. Here are four key HR activities to consider as the year ends. https://lnkd.in/gEuvEGN4

Happy International HR Day! 🎉 Let's take a moment to appreciate our beloved Human Resources department. They're like the AI of our company, seamlessly orchestrating the intricate dance of personnel management while simultaneously ensuring the coffee machine never runs out? From meticulously crafting job descriptions that require 10 years of experience for an entry-level role, to the mysterious alchemy of turning vague complaints into actionable feedback, HR truly does it all. Who else can flawlessly coordinate a birthday celebration with gluten-free, dairy-free, and joy-free cake options? Here's to the unsung heroes who maintain order while secretly embracing chaos, who redefine "team-building" from data-driven trust exercises to collaborative karaoke nights. And they remind us that even in the digital age, nothing beats the human touch – especially when it comes to breaking the ice. And also who master the balance of enforcing dress codes while wearing pajama bottoms in Zoom meetings. Happy HR Day! May your inboxes be empty and your conflict resolutions swift.
