🚀 Navigating the Senior Financial Analyst Job Market in Nashville 🚀 In the vibrant job market of Nashville, it's clear that companies are actively seeking top-notch Senior Financial Analysts. But here's the catch: many companies are relying heavily on job postings to find this talent, which means the competition is fierce! 🔍 Data Snapshot: The skills demanded in Senior Financial Analyst roles are diverse, but the data reveals a notable discrepancy. While certain skills are frequently listed in job postings across Middle Tennessee, there is a significant gap between these postings and the percentage of active profiles in the market possessing these skills. This gap underscores a critical point: the most sought-after talent might not be actively job hunting, making them "passive" candidates. If you’re looking to fill a crucial role, now is the time to leverage a recruiter who specializes in identifying and attracting these hidden gems. 💡 Why Use a Recruiter? 1) Access to Passive Talent: We have the network and tools to reach out to professionals who are not actively seeking new opportunities but may be open to the right offer. 2) Tailored Search: We understand the nuances of specific skills and can match them precisely to your needs. 3) Save Time: Focus on your core business while we handle the search for your ideal candidate. If you have an opening or need insights into finding the right talent for specific roles, let’s connect! ✏ How to Write an Outstanding Job Posting on LinkedIn ✏ 1. Craft a Compelling Headline: Catch attention with a clear, concise title that highlights the role and level (e.g., "Experienced Financial Analyst" vs. just "Financial Analyst"). Adding descriptors like "Remote" or "Growth Opportunity" can also spark interest from the right candidates. 2. Highlight Key Responsibilities & Growth Opportunities: Give potential candidates a snapshot of day-to-day tasks and the long-term impact of the role. Instead of simply listing duties, show how the role contributes to the company’s success and what skills it can help them build. 3. Add LinkedIn-Specific Keywords for Better Reach: Using targeted keywords like "Financial Strategy," "Data Analytics," or "Leadership" makes the posting more searchable. This not only attracts skilled applicants but also helps LinkedIn’s algorithm suggest your post to relevant job-seekers. #JobPostingTips #LinkedInRecruiting #UpendoStaffing #LoveWhatYouDo #jobs #talent #work #hiring

When small business hires inexperienced people it can cost more than you think, not just fines ( which should have been higher, Ijs), but it makes the business look incompetent and can ruin potential clients and your bottom line. Don’t let this happen to your small business. #workplaceculture #culturedonts #inclusion
A Virginia company will pay a $7,500 civil penalty after being fined by the Department of Justice over a discriminatory job posting. According to the DOJ, in March of 2023, Arthur Grand Technologies Inc., an information technology services firm based in Ashburn, Virginia, posted a job advertisement for a business analyst position. The posting was shared on a public online hiring website and read “Only US Born Citizens [white] who are local within 60 miles from Dallas, TX [Don’t share with candidates].”

I made a critical error early in my career that impacted a client. Sharing the losses is just as important, if not more, than sharing the wins. They're major learning opportunities. So, without further ado... I was working a Data Analyst opening for an NYC based client. A Data Scientist applied for the role with all the credentials and then some. Throughout the entire process, the candidate expressed what seemed to be genuine interest in the role. But that's just because that's what I WANTED to be the case. I ignored indicators that may have suggested otherwise. I knew that the candidate would be drastically underpaid in the position given their experience. But I kept the process moving. What I should have done was: 1. Educate the candidate on their actual market value 2. Not submit the candidate profile to the client in the first place 3. Not be greedy I chose to be willfully ignorant. I was only thinking about the dollar signs on the commission check, getting the deal done, and bathing in all the celebratory company Slack messages. I didn't have the candidate's and clients' best interest in mind. The end result? The candidate showed up to their first 3 days of work. That was it. A new job acceptance and immediate resignation handed in on the 4th day. And it was my fault. Thankfully, I immediately found my client a replacement. The whole thing taught me a few lessons. 1. Be honest/transparent 2. Develop legitimate relationships and ditch being transactional 3. Clients and candidates come FIRST always 4. It’s not just about money I'm not just a Recruiter. I'm a trusted Advisor. One that looks out for my clients and candidates. And I will NEVER make that mistake again. I lived and I learned. It made me better.

How much are bad hires really costing your business? 🚨 Over €50,000 – and that's just the direct costs. Here’s a quick breakdown (based on a junior M&A analyst entry position with a €5,000 monthly salary): 😭 Direct Costs: - Salary for 6 months: €30,000 - Employer contributions: €6,000 - Recruitment costs (e.g., via headhunter): €10,000 - Onboarding, training, and equipment: €6,000 😲 Indirect Costs: - Time until you find the new employee: nothing gets done. - Not performing? The time you spend explaining and explaining things all over again. - Back to square one: You need to research companies, correct presentations, and do the financial modeling... 👉 What if you instead: - Have someone start to work for you within a few days. - Have no risk and long-term commitment and keep full flexibility. - "Test" your next hire on live projects and see if you're happy with the performance. Sounds too good? Let's have a chat with (Super)Analyst. Shoutout to Tim Woitinek for the inspiration for this post 🙏 #TestYourNextHire #CorporateFinance #AnalystAsAService

👨💻After three rounds of interviews for a Data Base Manager & Reports Analyst role with a California-based company, I received the news today that another candidate was selected without giving any reasons 🤯 When you come this close, your hopes are high – you envision yourself in that role, enjoying the work culture, benefits, and growth opportunities. 🥴While it's disappointing, I choose to see this as a stepping stone and an opportunity to learn. 😬 Every interview is a chance to grow, refine skills, and prepare for the next big opportunity. 🥳Here's to staying positive and moving forward! 💪 #Mondayblues #InterviewPrep #hiring #opentowork #DataAnalytics #BusinessIntelligence 💔💔
