It is hard to believe anyone would be making their minds up today. That said, this Republican believes you should vote for Kamala Harris. Why? I'm glad you asked. Kamala Harris has shown a genuine commitment to bringing people together and focusing on what we share as Americans. She’s spoken about forming a bipartisan council of advisers to ensure voices from across the political spectrum are heard in her administration, which is something I value. She’s also proven she’s open to practical solutions on big issues like infrastructure and economic stability, issues that matter to me as a conservative who wants to see a strong, resilient America. I also appreciate her dedication to national security and economic stability, which have always been important Republican principles. For me, Kamala Harris represents a rare chance to move beyond the polarized, party-first mentality that’s been holding our country back. Supporting her feels like an opportunity to be part of a team effort toward solutions that benefit all Americans. I believe she can be a leader who respects Republican values while working to unify our nation. And just in case you need a reminder on why this is a better outcome for ALL Americans, Donald Trump often embodies the opposite of what Republicans look for in a leader. His approach to leadership has often been divisive, marked by rhetoric that amplifies polarization rather than seeks common ground. While some support him for his straightforward style, others find that this approach alienates large groups of Americans, even within his own party. Instead of building bridges, Trump’s language and policies have often intensified conflicts, whether it’s in discussions about immigration, race, or international relations. In terms of governance, Trump has almost always prioritized his personal interests and brand, creating a sense of unpredictability that can destabilize the very institutions and systems many conservatives value. His decisions often seem reactive, driven by headlines or personal grievances, rather than part of a broader, thoughtful plan. This lack of a steady approach stands in stark contrast to the values of fiscal responsibility, strong national security, and ethical leadership that many Republicans look for. For Republicans wanting someone who respects American institutions and values teamwork and pragmatic solutions, Trump’s approach may seem like the opposite path—one that fractures rather than fortifies. How do right-wing exclusionary acts reflect what America should be for ALL of ourselves and our Posterity? In a nutshell, they don't and it's time for us to return to the preamble and intention of the Constitution: equal treatment and justice for ALL and protecting this incredible country for generations to come, including the ones coming to age now. What you’ll find is there’s always another level. Entering into this space where policy is being designed, systems are being reimagined, and lives of Americans are being changed is an example of that other level. There’s tons of work to do in Dallas, so it was important to learn how the people at the highest level are pioneering change so that I can bring it back. Another great article posted by the Director of Second Look Network at The Sentencing Project regarding use of clemency powers to address excessive sentences. The number of older people in State & Federal prisons is increasing faster than any other age group. How could anyone claim that the point of incarceration was to incapacitate the truly dangerous when there are more people older than 55 in US prisons (165,000) than there are people in the high-crime range of 18-24? Geriatric healthcare in prison is both disgraceful and expensive. It costs on average, 3x more to incarcerate an older person than a younger one. Governor Andy Beshear could help alleviate the excessive costs mass incarceration has incurred on Kentucky as a proponent for second chances, and providing additional resources to protect public education and access to affordable healthcare-basic rights to the citizens of the Commonwealth. #SecondLookLaws #FreeKarenBrown

I’m not being a hater. Let’s have a serious discussion: Why does any Institution of Higher Education feel that having alums who are delegates to a Political Convention is newsworthy? THERE IS NO PURPOSE! That university is trying to engage in DEMOCRAT PARTY GOTV efforts. Their federal funding should be CUT! There are probably 50 Carolina alums who are delegates. A&T has several delegates and you don’t see their University promoting such a common occurrence. I encourage the Administration at NCCU to stay out of politics and focus on fundraising (which last I read, was quite pathetic). Get some of your alums to stop buying BMWs and give you $100 and perhaps we wouldn’t have to utilize so much of our tax dollars on landscaping over in Durham. Black Institutions must stop playing SMALL BALL. This type of BUSHLEAGUE activity is why Blacks as myself, who took Honors and AP courses and excelled DO NOT EVEN APPLY TO THESE SCHOOLS. #GlorifiedHighSchoolers #PoliticallyCHEAPpeople 🤦
