About the Women's Executive Package from Blackweek Founders and Steering Committee ⤵️ Women earn an average of 16% less than men in the United States. For every dollar earned by men, women earn 84 cents. The pay gap varies significantly by race and ethnicity. In 2022, Black women earned 70% as much as white men, while Hispanic women earned only 65%. The Blackweek Founders and Steering Committee decided on a 30% increase on the regular registration price for those not affected by the gender pay gap to acknowledge the barriers to entry for women and women of color to the industry’s elite spaces. Here I am removing the sign from our warehouse. Last week, we officially closed a chapter. It feels... Amazing. For 2+ years, we operated a 10k sq ft warehouse so that we could more easily ship corporate gift boxes filled with products from underrepresented brands. In that span we: • shipped gift boxes to all 50 states (and internationally) 📦 • worked with 15+ Fortune 500s (among others) 🤝 • Put $$$ into the pockets of many deserving brands 🤑 Ramping this gift box business up—and then ramping it down—taught me a lifetime worth of business lessons. A major one was that I prefer tech and software. I (and Bold Xchange ) am free to truly pursue that path now. We went 100% digital (allowing users to send and redeem local eGift cards) 6 months ago. Yet we still had this warehouse—chalk that up as a business lesson on leases. 😅😖😂 (And now I deeply understand why some companies tried to force people back into the office.)
