My favorite thing about working at the American Cancer Society has been being a part of an organization that responds to disparities with innovation as we chart a path towards health equity! ACS is never afraid to be the first and the only. Today I’m excited to share the post below highlighting our VOICES of Black Women cohort study, for which ACS is the FIRST to conduct a cohort study focussed on the recruitment of 100,000 Black women, and the ONLY to have a study of this size focussed on the lived experience of Black women and the linkage to cancer outcomes.
🚨Everyone has a role in this:
- If you are a Black woman between the ages of 25-55, please consider learning more about and enrolling in the VOICES of Black Women cohort study
- If you are an employer, consider sharing this opportunity with your employee resource groups as every ERG can participate through amplification or eligible participation. (Message me for details on a lunch and learn for your networks)
- If you aren’t eligible for the study, you can still help us in amplifying this message in your networks and community.
Cancer impacts everyone, but it doesn’t impact everyone equally. Help the American Cancer Society find out why as we chart a path to end cancer as we know it, for everyone.
