A Mortgage Recast is a process that could help some borrowers lower their monthly mortgage payments. Here’s how it works 👇 The borrower makes a lump sum payment (at least $5,000) toward the principal on their home loan. The loan is then recalculated based on the new, lower outstanding balance.
