When I was an SRO, one of the things that bothered me was the fact that I was more than likely going to be fighting an armed intruder with my sidearm because my long gun was out in my cruiser. It didnt make sense to go out to my car, turn it on, activate the rifle release, retrieve it, retrieve my go bag, and then re-enter the building. Our new SRO program has long guns in their offices but again, you are not going to be in your office usually as a proactive SRO. So while its not as bad as it being in the car, its still going to be a toss up if you're going to be there when you need it. This pistol the "Flux Defense Raider 365" from Flux Defense kind of gives you some of the advantages of a long gun in a package you can carry on your side. Particularly the stock which would be great for stability in engaging a target in a potentially crowded environment. The extra mag already on the platform is nice as well. Again, the advertisers language is a bit salty but I like the underlying application shown here. Haven't checked prices out on it yet but hopefully it's competitive with upgraded M&Ps or Glocks/Sigs. https://lnkd.in/esU5aexx
