Imagine a world where every mobile app is effortlessly usable by everyone. As designers, we're not just creators; we're gatekeepers of inclusivity. Here’s how we can champion mobile UI accessibility: ➡️ Embrace Generous Target Sizes: Design with the understanding that every finger, regardless of its size or capability, deserves easy navigation. Starting at 44x44 pixels for interactive elements can be a game-changer. ➡️ Prioritize Contrast: Bold contrasts do more than beautify—they clarify. Optimize readability with striking differences between text and backgrounds. ➡️ Simplify to Amplify: Complexity confuses. Streamline your app’s navigation to guide users smoothly through their digital journey. ➡️ Feedback for All: Actionable feedback, whether visual or haptic, reassures users that their interactions are recognized. It’s a small detail with a significant impact. ➡️ Real Users, Real Insights: The true test of accessibility lies with its users, especially those with disabilities. Integrating user testing into your design phase reveals invaluable insights for improvement. 🚀 Design with Purpose: Make Accessibility Your Mantra 🚀 Let's not just design; let's innovate with intent. Making our apps accessible to everyone isn’t just an achievement—it's our responsibility. ➡️ How are you paving the way for a more accessible digital future in your designs? Let's share our journeys and tips to inspire and elevate each other. #MobileUIDesign #AccessibilityFirst #InclusiveDesign #UXHeroes

Can you believe we're only days away from the next monthly UX/UI A11ys user group call?! It's on Monday (11th Nov) @ 4 PM UTC/GMT (check the comments for other time zones): https://lnkd.in/eHMsENcB Why attend? Even if you're not building your canvas app for mobile use, you should still make it responsive. Why? It's highly unlikely everyone will be using the same screen size. Even if they're all on the same screen resolution, they might resize the browser window. So what does this mean? Learn from Keith Atherton about how to craft responsive canvas apps, in our first session of the day. Did you know that building with accessibility in mind is not just about catering for people with disabilities? It's important for everyone! Want to know why and how? Learn from Cat Schneider with 'Moar Accessible Content!' Your hosts: Cat Schneider, Anna Black & Charles Sexton We'll also be announcing a special event for next month! 👀 And if you want links to the user group on other platforms: https://lnkd.in/ew7d2yrG #PowerPlatform #UXUIA11ys #SharingIsCaring

Hey There 👋 It's been a while since I last shared an update here. I've been deeply involved in an exciting project that I'm thrilled to finally share with you all! I'm excited to present my thesis project: a comprehensive PCOS Awareness and Management App. This project was born out of a desire to support those affected by Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) and to raise awareness about this often misunderstood condition. 🚀 Project Highlights: ✨ User-Centric Design: The app is designed with a strong focus on UI/UX principles, ensuring an intuitive and seamless user experience. 📈 Awareness & Education: Providing users with reliable information about PCOS, its symptoms, and management strategies. 🛠️ Management Tools: Offering a range of tools to help users track their symptoms, manage their diet, and stay informed about their health. 🔗 Case Study & Design Details: Check out the full project on Behance to see the detailed UI/UX case study and design elements that went into making this app: PCOS App Design - UI/UX Case Study This project has been a labor of love, combining my passion for design with a mission to make a positive impact. Come design an app for kids that help them to be a little creative. Basically, the app helps kids with the simple DIY(Do It Yourself) projects which kids can do from the comfort of their home. The prime objective of the app is make the most effective use of kid's screen time and utilize that time to inspire creativity among kids. One of the major feature of the app is the 'Spin Wheel' which is a more playful way of selecting a project which makes the app more fun exciting for kids. I have used warm yellow colour for warm and cheerful sense of feeling in addition with some others vibrant colour for maintaining that playful feeling. Since it is an app for kids, I have tried to keep the interface simple and cheeerful. #uiux #uidesign #appdesign #design #ux

Design Fundamentals: Making Your UI Both User-Friendly and Accessible. Ever wondered why some apps feel intuitive and others leave you scratching your head? It's all about usability and accessibility. Imagine you're trying to order food on a new app. The buttons are tiny, the text is too small, and you can't find the checkout button. Frustrating, right? That's where usability comes in. It's all about making sure your design is easy to use and understand. But it's not just about usability. Accessibility ensures that everyone can use your design, regardless of their abilities. This means considering people with visual impairments, hearing impairments, or motor disabilities. Think about how YouTube provides captions for videos or offers audio descriptions for visually impaired users. These are examples of accessibility in action.
