Top tips Buy what you like, not for investment. You have to live with it. I guarantee you’ll look at it every day. And who knows it could be a good investment in the future. Start small. Small paintings, sculptures and original prints (screen prints, etchings, relief prints) can be reasonably priced. If the artist is local to you or somewhere you plan to visit, make an appointment with the artist to visit their studio. You’ll more than likely get a brew and some cake. Artists love studio visits. This will give you an overall insight into their practice. Having artworks in your home makes for good conversation. Tell your friends!

I used to wonder why Artists often paint nature, like forests and beaches, also why people love to see those paintings...the answer was because these places are peaceful, beautiful, and make us feel connected to the world around us. Think about the sea, the waves, and the sky during a sunset – it’s something that catches the eye and makes you want to capture that moment. 2. When artists paint them, they share those feelings with others. 3. Deeper Meaning: Nature can be a symbol for many things. As promised, going to explain a little bit about new ideas and probably a series of paintings with a theme "Between...". This is how I called the first artwork, which I'm sharing with you now. I was thinking a lot about our society and about myself and people like me, who now have very tight connections with different countries and cultures. As someone who experiences Russian, British, and now Singaporean influences, I'm exploring the feeling of being 'between' countries and cultures. It's a blend of admiration for each, yet feeling a sense of loss in not fully belonging to any. Through my art, I aim to capture the emotional and physical journey of navigating these cultural intersections. Between... It is also about time and how sometimes distant events seem to be in the past, but they somehow still affect us, and it's fascinating how certain things in history repeat again and again. In a few words -it's a reflection on unity, the passage of time, and the echoes of history that shape our present. An artist possesses an astonishing worldview, an incredibly sensitive eye, and the ability to see details that are completely indistinguishable to ordinary people. Moreover, sometimes different, seemingly unrelated planes of reality unexpectedly intersect and penetrate each other in the artist's imagination. In such moments, magical metamorphoses arise, shaping a new world that has never been seen before by anyone. The remarkable hyperrealist artist S. Sologub has the skill to create such unusual worlds at the intersection of various planes of existence and to imbue his vision within stunning paintings. I would like to present to your attention several of such paintings. I would like to begin with one that recently found its home in a city I greatly admire, Český Krumlov. On the canvas, heavy sea waves, crashing onto the shore, transform into an exquisite fabric. In this painting, we witness a fascinating transformation of a watery surface into a draped fabric. "Fabric Waves" elegantly blends the realms of water and fabric, depicting how soft waves transition into the folds of cloth, as if the material itself becomes a part of nature.
