Who Can Safely Work on a Rig Monkey Board? A rig monkey board is a small platform located on the derrick of an oil rig. It's a crucial component for various operations, but it also poses significant safety risks. Only trained and #authorized_personnel should be allowed to work on a rig monkey board. Typically, the following individuals are authorized to work on a monkey board: #Derrickman: This is the primary person responsible for the derrick and its operations. They are highly trained and experienced in working at heights and are familiar with all the safety protocols. #Assistant_Derrickman: They assist the Derrickman in various tasks, including those on the monkey board. They are also trained and knowledgeable about safety procedures. It's important to note that: #Unauthorized_personnel should never be allowed on the monkey board. #Safety_harnesses and #lifelines must always be worn when working on the monkey board. #Clear_communication between the #Derrickman and #other_crew_members is essential to ensure safety. #Remember: Working on a rig monkey board is a hazardous task. Adhering to safety regulations and procedures is crucial to prevent accidents and injuries. #safety_first 🤍🇱🇾

safety roles of operations for lifting operators and riggers, you are reminded to follow the below safety massures at all times: 360 Degree Inspection: Conduct a thorough visual inspection of the crane before each operation. Check for any signs of damage or wear on cables, hooks, slings, limit switches, alarms, emergency stop buttom and other critical components, Parking the Crane: Always park the crane in designated areas. Ensure that the crane is on stable, level ground before parking. Before Moving the Crane: Ensure to make walkthrough around the crane whenever you stop for a while or stop the engine to avoid any obstacle that might touch the crane, Observe Clearance and Working Area: Maintain a safe distance from buildings, power lines and other obstacles. Communication: Never move the crane without proper communication with the rigger of flagman. Ensure that all personnel involved are aware of their roles and responsibilities. Safe Driving and Transport: When operating vehicles, transporting equipment, or commuting to work; always follow the designated routes and obey traffic rules. Remember, safety is a shared responsibility. #safety #aramco #engineer #operation #rigger #lifting

🚨 Attention all riggers and operators! 🚨 In the world of hoisting and rigging, safety is paramount, and leadership is key. That's why the role of the Person-in-Charge (PIC) is critical in ensuring the success and safety of every lift operation. The PIC is responsible for the entire lifting operation. Here are the top responsibilities of the PIC that every lifting professional should know: 1. Appointment and Presence: The PIC must be appointed, designated, and qualified, and must be present at the lift site during the entire operation. 2. Pre-Job Planning: The PIC ensures a pre-job plan is in place, detailing the operation, including the weight of the load, equipment selection, and safety measures. 3. Load Calculation: The PIC verifies that the total load is accurately determined and does not exceed the equipment's rated capacity. 4. Safety Briefing: The PIC conducts a pre-lift meeting to review the critical lift plan, ensuring all personnel understand the operation and resolve any questions. 5. Risk Assessment: The PIC evaluates the potential swing/fall area of the load and ensures no one is at risk of being struck or crushed. 6. Tag Line Control: The PIC ensures tag lines are used properly to control the load and that no one places hands on a load or works near a suspended load. 7. Qualified Signaling: The PIC ensures that only designated, qualified signalers give signals to the operator. 8. Equipment Inspection: The PIC oversees routine and periodic inspections of rigging equipment and hardware. 9. Electrocution Prevention: The PIC ensures safety around electrical power lines by stationing a signal person to warn the operator of minimum safe distances. 10. Incident Review: The PIC participates in discussions of accidents, root causes, and lessons learned to improve safety protocols. Remember, the PIC is not just a title; it's a commitment to safety and efficiency. Let's all strive to uphold these responsibilities and keep our operations incident-free. #HoistingAndRigging #PICResponsibilities #SafetyLeadership #LiftingOperations #RiggingSafety #QualifiedLeadership #PreJobPlanning #LoadCalculation #TagLineControl #EquipmentInspection #ElectrocutionPrevention #IncidentReview #SafetyBriefing #QualifiedSignaling #RiskAssessment #HoistingRiggingFundamentals
