I wish that every company operated like Steven Spielberg creates stories. Spielberg was always a romantic for storytelling. He wasn't driven by money or by fame. At the root of his motivations the guy just wanted to tell great stories. Today's Hollywood is in a fast and major decline partially because they stopped telling stories and only diversified revenue. It's also because streaming services are slitting their own throats like crazy, but that's a story for another time. If we all approached the marketplace with the same Spielbergian attitude of, "I want to create the best __fill in the blank__ that I can make for people then money will naturally come. A money-first attitude puts America in a fast decline, but a passion and love to serve people with the world's greatest products, stories and services are magnetic for money (cough, with the right marketing - Buck Wild Media). The moral of the story? Be like Spielberg. Follow Buck Wild Media for more tips. #FilmMaking #Business #Quality #VideoMarketing #BusinessGrowth #Marketing #Video #America

Steven Spielberg's Legendary Start: From Sneaking to Success Steven Spielberg, the maestro of cinema, didn't just walk into Universal Studios; he crafted his entry into Hollywood lore. #The story goes that as a teen, Spielberg, fueled by passion and ambition, found his way onto the Universal lot. Accounts differ on whether he sneaked past guards or #bluffed his way in, but one thing's for sure: he made it. Spielberg even claimed to have seized an empty office, setting up his own makeshift headquarters. #But reality tells a different tale. In truth, Spielberg's visit to Universal was arranged by his father, who knew someone at the studio. #While there, young Spielberg did odd jobs and rubbed elbows with industry insiders. Yet, he spun his narrative with flair, adding layers of intrigue to his humble beginnings. #Despite the embellishments, Spielberg's journey at Universal laid the groundwork for his stellar career. By his early twenties, he was directing notable projects, and by thirty, he had blockbuster hits under his belt. S Spielberg's knack for #storytelling didn't just manifest on screen; it began with the embellished tales of his Hollywood ascent. In the end, whether it's sneaking into offices or spinning yarns, Spielberg's #legacy embodies the magic and mystique of Tinseltown. As George Burns once quipped, "Most of what I say is true. The rest is show business." And Spielberg? Well, he's been the master of both. 1. Craft Your Narrative: Spielberg's embellishment teaches us the power of storytelling in shaping our perceptions and legacy. 2. Persistence Pays Off: Spielberg's determination to succeed, despite obstacles, underscores the importance of perseverance in achieving our goals. 3. Make the Most of Opportunities: Spielberg's ability to capitalize on every opportunity, regardless of how it arose, highlights the importance of seizing chances and making them count. Mr. Higgins is confused; if only 14% of people like the new series, then the problem is broader than one 53-year-old with his head stuck in the past. My children no longer have an interest in Disney's present offerings. From where I sit DIS belongs to public shareholders and has returned -10% in the past five years while SPY has returned 100%. Granted, the pandemic hurt, but streaming helped, or should have, and the 10 year return is 5%. The barbarian at the gate (Nelson Peltz) was turned away, but what now? Disney needs to find a way to get their stock off the short side of hedged portfolios. They had a far more competitive library than NFLX, and for the younger audience, they still do. Cutting edge art has a place off Broadway; but by the time one spends hundreds of millions it has to be refined for the entire audience such that it will generate a return. If South Park finds it fit to make fun of one of their own, what can one add? #DIS #Starwars #disney #southpark #nelsonpeltz #markets #hedgefunds #elon #musk #x #asimov #media #techinvesting #tmt

Here’s how to add a touch of Hollywood to your presentation… ✨ Drama, Impact and engagement all come from one formula 🎭 It’s used by Spielberg, Coppola and Mendes, among many other Oscar winners, to bring the magic in. This is what it looks like: 1. Beginning / The Past / The Context What has led us to where we are now? What was the catalyst for this journey? Start by giving a brief background into the project update 2. Middle / Present / The Journey Where are we now? What is going on at this very moment? Why is it going well? Explain the result you are currently seeing. 3. End / Future / Resolution What will happen next? How will you build on the success of what’s happened already? Talk about the accomplishments you’ve seen so far and how you’d like to build on them. That’s it! Then you are free to stop speaking. Beginning Middle End Also know as the Hero’s Journey And now you know how to add movie magic into your next project update #presentation #presentationtips #movies #magic

"The Bear" - on Hulu - should be required viewing for any start-up leadership team, CEO or creative team. Especially Season 3. Perfectly personifies the "all in toward perfection" required to deliver excellence, the sacrifices required (hint: "work life balance" isn't possible, your work will become your life), the tension of pure vision and real word fiscals needed to survive, the power of culture, how dysfunction and our demons (we all have them) can damage outcomes and - most of all - how "humans being humans", our talents and flaws both, can deliver or destroy all of it. It's not just a love letter to food, or how we survive our family scars, it's a love letter to creating magic at the highest level of human talents. #thebear #leadership #startups #creative #creativity #culture

Should Blockbuster Make a Comeback? Though you might be in disbelief, Blockbuster video is still around. How can it compete with the convenience of digital streaming while offering unique value? Read the article & panel discussion here: https://lnkd.in/e88zdEsN Neil Saunders "Many people have nostalgia for Blockbuster. But nostalgia does not equate to demand. In this digital era, what point would Blockbuster really serve? The honest answer is not much." Ryan Grogman "A Blockbuster physical presence might make sense from a brand nostalgia perspective, but it would only likely turn any sort of financial profit if it sold Blockbuster branded-merch." Georganne Bender "Blockbuster is over and it’s not coming back. If you are longing for the glory days of movie rentals watch The Last Blockbuster documentary on Prime or the Blockbuster series on Netflix."
