As a manager of an amazing team, thing likes this hurt my heart. Why? Because there’s always time to aknowledge the work someone made. Dont steal someone’s work. It’s pretty simple, yet I see it happen all the time. When I was in a more Jr role, I got ideas that I came up with used and got zero recognition. And it does hurt. And it shouldn’t happen. As a leader, you must make an effort to highlight those who put the work. Those who think outside the box. Those who are the reason why you are what (and where) you are. Their success isn’t mine. It doesn't belong to me. Their success is theirs and will always be. Put the effort, as a leader, to show that to the world. It’s our obligation to show their work to the world (or at least my agency) and give them the spotlight when possible. That will always be my way. Happy to be working at a place where that happens. Where we all get the room to shine and are empowered to let others shine. Yes. The power of “we” is stronger than the power of “I”. But it’s also important to recognize individual contributions. No excuses. Just do it. Just like my mom used to always say. “Al Cesar lo Que es del Cesar”. TL;Dr: Make the time to recognize your team. You know you have it. You know it’s the right thing to do.

Marking my 2-Year Anniversary with FANBASIS INC. Time flies when you’re building something great! I recently hit my two-year anniversary at FANBASIS INC. and though I’m a couple months late in celebrating, it’s only because we’ve been heads-down on our mission. Over the past two years, we’ve established ourselves as a major player in a diverse set of verticals—spanning paid online communities, coaching, sports gambling, Info-products, e-commerce and more. FanBasis has become a go-to platform for those looking to sell, host, and scale their businesses. I’m proud to reflect on what we’ve achieved. Since August 2022: - 22,039% GMV growth - 749% year-over-year GMV growth - 537% year-over-year net revenue growth - 2,862% increase in average GMV per active seller - 1.76 million new users joined our platform While the numbers speak for themselves, the real story is the incredible team that powers this engine. I’m fortunate to work alongside some of the most dedicated and passionate people, and none of this progress would have been possible without Yash Daftary, Lyle Z. & Alisha Mody’s unwavering leadership & commitment. The past two years have been incredible. We’ve evolved through brand changes and overcome countless hurdles to get where we are today. Through all of this, what excites me most is what’s ahead. A lot can change in just 3 months. That's why I love working in startup land. We can go bonkers with ideas but if we have the right strategy and the right execution to back it up, we make magic. Can you imagine how only 90 days ago, our company only ordered snacks once a month? 🤣 Sometimes, these incremental quality of life improvements are more visible indicators of your company's growth and overall health. Beyond just how much revenue or profits we're making MoM. We are seeing the direct re-investment into our company: more hiring, more team events, more swag. And if Q4 shapes up to be another landmark quarter, we might even have more parties! We're hiring! Join the rocketship! 🚀

Coming off a week of being OOO! I didn’t do anything particularly special. To be honest, I was feeling a bit tired—maybe even a little burnt out. So, I took my own managerial advice and booked some time off to hang out at home and reset my routine. I also celebrated a birthday! If you’re a fall baby like me (shoutout to my fellow Libras 👋), maybe you think of fall as a reset, too. While enjoying a staycation at home, I took some time to reflect. Here are a few things I’ve been thinking about: • Working in comms/marketing for ten years! • Celebrating 5 years at Brandish | A Creative Agency marking my transition from non-profit comms to #AgencyLife. • How much my first comms job taught me about people. • How fun it is to see my peers grow in their careers. • Is the art of the commercial coming back?! And hopefully more thoughts I can flesh out in future posts. Stay tuned!

LOVEEEE this bold move from Waitrose this week. Here’s why it works 1) it’s unexpected: yes I know we just had Martine McCutchon and Lidl but I definitely didn’t have S Club and Waitrose on my bingo card. The unexpected nature has ‘thumb-stopping’ power than forces audiences to take note, raise and eyebrow and smile. We’re simply not used to seeing Waitrose in this way and the bold departure to launch their number 1 range is the camp activation we didn’t know we needed. It’s so off brand, it’s amazing. 2) social first: it plays exactly into the entertainment led and playful content we’re seeing from brands. Curry’s, Reiss, Tesco, Lidl and RyanAir are just a handful of brands who are having a lot of fun on social. As we know, TVC cut downs simply don’t cut it and Waitrose know this. In a world where 80% of ads are skipped, why not feature S Club dancing down the aisles of Waitrose. Audiences of all ages simply don’t care about brands (that much!) and they definitely don’t like ads. This strategy has been designed for social and that is why it works. WE WANT MORE bravo Waitrose

🌟🎉 Wow, I can't believe it's been a whole year since I took that leap of faith to pursue something I've always loved and been passionate about: content creation.📱✨ For years, it was just a dream in the back of my mind. I didn’t know when or where to start, especially since it was something so new and there weren’t many paths to follow. Every single day has been a new experience and a huge learning lesson. It wasn’t easy. There were countless times I doubted myself, failed, and wondered if this was a good idea because success didn’t come right away. I fell down many times, sent out hundreds of pitch emails, got rejected by some of my favorite brands, and often heard nothing back at all. But all those setbacks fueled my drive to keep going. Through this journey, I learned the importance of patience, expressing gratitude, and growing from my mistakes. And now, one year later, I've had the incredible opportunity to work with some of the coolest brands I LOVE like Ashley Furniture, European Wax Center, Skims, Inter Miami, and that's just to name a few! 🌟 We have so many new and exciting projects and plans in the works, and I am beyond blessed and grateful for everyone who believed in me, supported me, and kept me motivated. This is just the beginning, and I know things will only get better from here! Thank you all for being part of this amazing journey.
