Running shoes are about to change forever 👇 So, getting running shoes that fit is a tedious process. But what if you could skip this tedious process altogether? And avoid having to test shoes and get foot scans. That’s where Lightspray by On comes in. This technology uses a robotic arm to spray a polymer onto a foot mold. Creating the entire shoe in just 6 minutes. But the speed isn’t the craziest part. This opens the door to complete customization. Think about if you could walk into a store, pick any design, and have the shoe molded perfectly to your feet. No more compromising on the design or having to break in the shoe. Just a shoe that looks and fits exactly as you need. Well with Lightspray, that future feels a lot closer than we realize. #run #running #runningshoes #runner #runners #on #onrunning #lightspray #onlightspray #shoes #fitness #health #wellness #workout #technology

Cool idea, but getting a shoe that fits is only part of the puzzle. Understanding how you run, your pronation, and even your overall health needs to be accounted for. I used to get injured all the time and I was spending top $ buying the best running shoes around. Turns out having massive gel/air/boost cushioning is bad for me, and having flatter firmer soles is preferable. Now my biggest issue is motivation not injury!

Now imagine having a travelator/moving walkway and adding that machine. You'd have yourself an interesting literal "walk-in" shoe store, kind of like a car washing station or a tire shop, but for getting new shoes instead of new wheels 😂😂

On is taking a different approach in the 3D printed running shoe race, but Nike and Adidas are right behind. This illustration breaks down what these companies have done so far and which one is close to making it for the masses. https://www.linkedin.com/posts/kalani-kayser_the-race-is-on-to-make-a-commercially-activity-7264690668218855424-qQLw?utm_source=share&utm_medium=member_desktop

Why need shoes then if it is just spray-molded into your feet? Wouldnt that be like barefooting?
