One stitch can create a ripple of change—just ask Shikha. Shikha joined IVillage A family with her heart weighed down by personal challenges. But with every stitch she made, she sewed a path toward independence and hope. Today, she's not just crafting products, she's crafting a brighter, more resilient future. Her story reminds us that when we uplift one woman, we empower an entire community. At IVillage A family, every stitch is a story of transformation. Together, we’re not just making bags; we’re weaving opportunities for women to thrive. Let’s continue stitching brighter futures, one step at a time. #EmpowerHer #ShikhasJourney #StitchingHope #IVillageImpact #WomenOfStrength #CraftingChange #ThreadsOfHope #TogetherWeRise #IVillageCommunity #IVillageAFamily

Celebrating Women's Day At #HelloYes, we are dedicated to creating an inclusive and empowering environment where both women and men work together to build success. Marcelle McDonald, MD of #HelloYes Marketing, reminds us of the incredible power within each of us. ‘My advice to other women who have their hearts set on a goal is that the road to success is never straight, flat, or easy to navigate. Rather, it’s full of twists, turns, uphills, and downhills. It’s supposed to be challenging because it’s through traveling these roads that we gain the best experiences, cultivate resilience, and learn to navigate life's challenges with greater ease. Know that when you feel most challenged, that is when you gain the most. Instead of seeing setbacks as failures, we can view them as opportunities for growth and self-discovery." This Women's Month, we honour the strength, resilience, and determination of all women. Keep shining and breaking barriers! #HelloYes #WomensDay #StrengthInDiversity

Dorcas’s story is one of many. She was our neighbor for years, enduring an abusive relationship ,not because she wanted to, but because she had no way out. Without an income or skills, her choices were painfully limited, and the cycle of violence continued. Everything changed the day she joined a local tailoring program. At first, it was just about learning how to sew. But as Dorcas worked, stitch by stitch, she realized she wasn’t just creating clothes ,she was rebuilding her life. Within months, she earned enough to pay her bills, support her children, and, most importantly, leave the abuse behind. Today, Dorcas is no longer just surviving , she’s thriving. This is the power of economic empowerment. It’s more than money; it’s freedom. It’s dignity. It’s the ability to choose a better path. Too many women remain trapped in harmful situations, not because they lack the will to leave, but because they lack the means. When women gain skills, jobs, or opportunities to build businesses, they gain the courage to say, “Enough.” Every skill taught, every opportunity created, and every woman empowered brings us closer to breaking the cycle of Gender-Based Violence. Change starts with one woman ,but it doesn’t end there. Empowered women uplift families, strengthen communities, and ignite transformation that spans generations. How can we create more opportunities for women to earn and thrive? Share your thoughts, and let’s be part of this change together. #Day6 #WomenEmpowerment #StopGBV #16DaysActivism #EconomicFreedom #GenderEquality #CommunityEngagement #SDG5

𝐌𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐄𝐎 & 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐢𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚 𝐁𝐨𝐚𝐫𝐝 Women's lives have changed in many ways over the past 35 years. We have access to education, we can get diverse roles in many types of organizations, we have higher life expectancy and access to health services. However, on the surface, more shortcomings have appeared: women continue to face numerous barriers, visible or less visible, to do more unpaid work (from caring for the family to domestic activities), to have more stress and anxiety, domestic and economic violence. As women, both coming from families with single mothers and many difficulties, but especially as doers and professionals with many years of experience, we asked ourselves what role we can play in creating a systemic change. Where do we get the thread and how do we unwind it? The answer is Carierista. The organization embodies a long-term vision, born out of long discussions with women from many areas, from here at home to the farthest corners of the world, and with professionals who want to create a viable ecosystem for what the world of tomorrow should mean, based on dignity, equality and work opportunities. At Carierista we believe that women can be part of the foundation of well-being and growth, that through tools designed to bring them independence they can make the best decisions for themselves, their families and the communities they belong to. That they can create a transformative effect that, in the context of AI and accelerated digitization, will be an engine for positive social change, integration and productivity in the 4.0 economic era. Our vision is to rewrite the social code for tomorrow. Our mission is to provide tools for women who want to (re)enter the labor market, discover their talents and potential, improve their living conditions and, at the end, pay it forward to other women that need help. We have a holistic approach, aimed at supporting women from disadvantaged backgrounds with services and tools in 3 strategic areas: career development, financial inclusion and equitable access to economic opportunities. Systemic changes require effort, perseverance and people who believe in them. We are a team climbing a social and economic Everest. We do it with enthusiasm, training, expertise and a desire to leave a community legacy bigger and more ambitious than the individual effort. Carierista launches today. We thank the professionals, organizations and institutions that joined the mission we undertook. Together we connect courage, ambition and the desire to prepare for a better and fairer future. Ruxandra Popa - CEO Steliana Moraru - President of the Board
