What is their average spending on each order? 5) Which mode (online or offline) has received the maximum rating? 6) Which type of restaurant received more offline orders, so that Zomato can customers prefer with some good offers?

**Distance-based rating system :)** Today, we received the following email from Zomato. I expect it was sent to all restaurant partners as part of their new update on the rating system. 😊 Zomato's rating system is tough to crack actually! You need a lot of 5-star ratings to boost your score, but just 1 or 2 bad ratings/reviews can lower your overall rating. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ In this update, they will segregate ratings based on distance: - Under 4 km - 4 to 7 km - Above 7 km Many times, food is best when eaten fresh within a certain timeframe. Although our salads remain fresh for 1-2 hours, it's better to eat them within 15 to 30 minutes to feel the freshness and crunch. 🥗⏱️ Let's see how this helps restaurant partners. Do you think it's a good update? 🤔

𝗗𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝘄𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗳𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗳𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗼𝗿 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗳𝗼𝗼𝗱? As we wrap up this series on Zomato’s distance-based rating system, let’s ask: Is distance enough to capture the full dining experience? Sure, distance affects delivery time and food temperature, but what about quality, portion size, or whether the meal was worth the price Currently, platforms like Amazon read through user reviews and categorize them based on various aspects like product quality or value for money. Here's a thought: Zomato could do even better by asking users to explicitly rate 3 core metrics and showing them on the reviews screen: 𝟭. 𝗙𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆- Was the dish flavorful and well-prepared? 𝟮. 𝗣𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘀𝗶𝘇𝗲- Did the meal satisfy or fall short for the price? 𝟯. 𝗣𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴- Did the food arrive in good condition? Earlier, there was even a search bar to find reviews for specific dishes. That was super useful, right? Reintroducing that would help customers find relevant feedback more easily thus helping them make more informed choices. By keeping the distance factor but also showing these additional metrics, we’d get a fuller picture—not just faster food but better food. Maybe Zomato’s new system makes sense logistically, but are we truly seeing better food or just faster food? 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗼𝘁𝘆𝗽𝗲: In the prototype solution I’ve worked on, we’ve: 1. Removed the bucketized ratings to reduce mental overload for users. 2. Introduced a contextual rating based on the user’s location while incorporating key metrics like food quality, portion size, and packaging. 3. Reintroduced the search bar for dish reviews, and added a streamlined feedback flow that allows users to rate their experiences directly after delivery or through their order history. 4. Individual dish ratings were kept because they provide critical feedback on specific dishes, ensuring restaurants get clear insights and users can recall past dish experiences when revisiting a restaurant. Let me know your thoughts! #productdesign #zomato #userexperience #fooddelivery #productmanagement

For someone who rarely orders food online, it is at times tedious to keep up with the trends, ratings or even the place I could order my food from - Especially desserts. Brooo. How can a restaurant chain from Powai and Bandra have different quality of Cheesecake? Anyway - I am flipping to Rawa Cake for the time being, as Zomato India suggests. How did I make this flip? Well, as I see this new update from Zomato (could be old, but I got to know it yesterday) I made a bet to just order something sweet. No analysis involved here. But, to my utter shock, it was yummy. So, as you can see this update takes your dining experience review to the next level. It will take into account the distance between your location and the restaurant, ensuring a more contextual and accurate rating system. This update has been highlighting restaurants based on proximity and performance, enhancing my decision-making when choosing where to dine or even where to order from. I think, this is a great move towards a smarter way of getting better deliveries and knowing what everyone around me is eating. Way to go! #Zomato #FoodTech #Innovation #CustomerExperience #RestaurantRatings
