🍣 If you were in Japan, and someone said, "My cheeks are falling off!" would you call for a doctor or the chef? 🍣 As you may have guessed, in Japanese, "頬が落ちる" (Hōgaochiru ) is a common expression that doesn't have anything to do with a medical emergency! How would you localize this idiom to convey the same sentiment in English? Can you think of an English expression that captures both the meaning and the tone? Localization experts know that translating idioms isn't just about the words—it's about capturing the essence and emotion behind them. This reminds me of idioms such as "Finger-licking good" or "mouth-watering" in English but I'm not sure if these are the closest to the meaning or tone.
