Arabic cannot be centralized due to the linguistic variety across regions. However, every Arabic-speaking country has its own مجمع لغوي (language academy) and elite group of grammarians. The post though aims to highlight the unique nature of the Arabic language compared to others. Arabic boasts the highest linguistic register of all languages. For instance, a single word like “eye” in Arabic have 21 different meanings. I challenge you to find a comparable language with such richness. Also do you know why all European languages are called indo-European kanguages?
