Hologic, Inc. has been working on AI solutions for over a decade in different areas developing AI technologies that support healthcare professionals in their role. One of its solutions is the Genius Digital Diagnostics System – the first and only FDA-approved digital cytology system. With this system, the glass slides are digitally imaged and the AI algorithm is applied to pinpoint the cells that cytologists and pathologists should review. This is a big step forward, but I know there is more to come.
