Dutch communities are replacing tiles with greenery to tackle flooding and boost biodiversity. What do you think about initiatives like this? Would you join the challenge?
Replacing tiles with greenery is such a simple yet impactful idea—I’d definitely get behind a project like this in my own community.
Replacing tiles with greenery sounds like such a cool way to bring a bit of nature into urban life. It’s like turning boring pavement into a vibrant little oasis! Can't wait to see how this trend grows! Sasa Spasic

Thanks for sharing Sasa Spasic - a number of European cities are embracing similar, Paris also being a great example. Building climate resilience in our urban environments is becoming increasingly critical in abating climate change - from flooding, extreme heat and pollution. Good design with appropriate planting will help to better gain control against flooding, cool and lower temperatures between 2-8C and assist in tackling and lowering air pollution. Great to see a citizen led movement but this needs to be scaled and co-ordinates at city level to really deliver impact and ensure city wide resilience.
