Something I have learned working with hundreds of brands in my career is - effective retail channel management is essential for profitable, sustainable growth. Smart brands build out price pack architecture early instead of wheeling and dealing their way into unsustainable market pricing that impacts the brand & retailer P&Ls. Smart brands engage with multiple retailers early, building relationships across the market to choose the right partner for exclusives and LTOs and to manage the relationship for beyond the exclusive time period. I have seen brands put all of your strategic eggs in one basket for a long period of time and then wonder why the rest of the market is not eager to partner with them. By working across multiple retailers, you expand your consumer reach, mitigate risk, and gain valuable negotiation leverage. Retailers are always watching industry trends, so staying proactive in your partnerships can give you a competitive edge. Effective channel management is a valuable benefit of working with Harvest Group as we work across multiple key retailers. We build unique strategies for each brand, based on their strengths and opportunities and our knowledge of the retailers strategies. Get your channel management right. Reach out to Harvest Group to learn more about our approach.
