Brilliant article from my colleagues and wonderful stories from inspirational female leaders. As Head of Industrial and MedTech practice, together with my team I explore every possible avenue of improving the diversity element of all of our senior searches, but it is still an uphill battle, in some geographies more so than in the others. However, the last 5-7 years have brought with them one particularly noticeable change, which, to me, is even more important than a small increase in the percentage of the diverse (mainly gender diverse) C-suite leaders, and that is genuine focus on the junior and mid level female candidates’ hiring. This diversity drive is still suboptimal and mainly gender focused, but it is definitely a step in the right direction and something that, hopefully, will lead to a noticeable and massively important shift in the senior leadership composition in the traditionally white male industries (such as mine) 5 or so years down the line. In the meantime, thank you and enormous respect to the women listed in this article, paving the way to those who will come behind them…
