🌍 Celebrating International Migrants Day: A Tribute to Diversity and Excellence Today, on International Migrants Day, we reflect on the invaluable contributions of migrants worldwide and their transformative impact on economies, societies, and cultures. Migrants are not just individuals on the move — they are innovators, entrepreneurs, skilled professionals, artists, and community leaders who shape the future of both their home and host countries. In Australia, nearly 30% of the population was born overseas, and almost half have at least one parent born abroad (ABS 2022, 2023). This diversity has positioned Australia as a thriving multicultural hub, where global perspectives meet local innovation. For businesses and corporates, migration offers unparalleled opportunities. Migrants bring unique insights, diverse skill sets, and entrepreneurial spirit, driving innovation and enriching workplace culture. Their global networks also enable businesses to expand their reach and tap into international markets. On this day, we honor the professional excellence and resilience of migrants who strengthen our industries, enhance our communities, and contribute to Australia’s economic and cultural success. As a nation built on diversity, let us continue fostering inclusion and leveraging the potential of multicultural Australia for a more connected and prosperous future. Celebrating International Migrants Day: December 18th Every year, December 18th marks International Migrants Day, a day to recognize the invaluable contributions of migrants and to emphasize the importance of protecting their human rights. This day was proclaimed by the United Nations General Assembly on December 4, 2000, in response to the growing global movement of migrants. Canada stands proudly as one of the most multicultural countries in the world, a nation that has long embraced cultural diversity and inclusion. In 1971, Canada became the first country to adopt an official Multiculturalism Policy, which aims to promote respect for cultural diversity and create a harmonious and inclusive society. As an international manufacturing company, we are proud to collaborate with this dynamic economy and contribute to technological advancement. By bringing diverse perspectives and expertise, we help drive innovation and strengthen Canada’s position as a global leader in technology and industry. Let’s continue building a future where everyone, regardless of their origins, feels respected, valued, and empowered. #InternationalMigrantsDay #CanadaMulticulturalism #CulturalDiversity #Diversity #HumanRights #Canada #multiculturalism #CarloGavazzi

Today is 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐌𝐢𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐃𝐚𝐲 — a day to celebrate the journeys and contributions of people who’ve made new countries their home. Migrants bring more than just their belongings. They bring dreams, skills, and a determination to create better opportunities—for themselves, their families, and the communities they become part of. Australia, in particular, is a nation shaped by migration. Its diversity is its strength, and you can see the contributions of migrants everywhere—businesses, healthcare, education, innovation, and beyond. Celebrating International Migrants Day: Honoring Diversity and Resilience Today, on International Migrants Day, we recognize and celebrate the courage, resilience, and contributions of migrants across the globe. Migration has been a cornerstone of human history, shaping cultures, economies, and communities for centuries. This year's observance is a reminder of the opportunities migration creates, as well as the challenges millions face in search of safety, dignity, and a better life. Migrants bring skills, creativity, and new perspectives, enriching societies and driving innovation. But beyond the contributions, International Migrants Day calls on us to reaffirm our commitment to the human rights and dignity of all people, regardless of borders. 🌍 Why this matters: • Nearly 300 million migrants worldwide carry stories of resilience and determination. • They bridge cultures and fuel progress in industries ranging from healthcare to technology. • Yet, many face hardships such as discrimination, exploitation, and barriers to basic needs. On this day, let us: • Advocate for inclusive policies that protect migrants. • Celebrate the diversity that migration brings to our societies. • Commit to building communities where everyone, regardless of origin, feels valued and empowered. Migration is not just a journey—it's a testament to the human spirit’s quest for growth and survival. Together, we can create a world where no one is left behind. To all migrants: your contributions matter, your stories inspire, and your resilience strengthens us all. #InternationalMigrantsDay #HumanRights #Diversity #Inclusion #GlobalUnity

Happy International Migrants Day! 🌐 At its core, migration means “leaving one’s place of origin to settle elsewhere, even temporarily.” It is a journey marked by courage, hope, and an openness to transformation. It is a source of growth, both for those who migrate and for the communities that welcome them. I first encountered migration in a professional sense in 2020, working in reception centers in Bologna. That experience changed me profoundly. Listening to the stories of migrants—stories of resilience, loss, and dreams—taught me about the strength of the human spirit. It also reminded me how much migration can enrich both individuals and societies, creating a space for exchange, empathy, and learning. Now, working in the field of migration and protection, I am privileged to continue on this pathway. Every step of my professional journey reaffirms my belief that migration is not just about movement; it’s about connection. It’s about building bridges between cultures, sharing experiences, and creating opportunities for a better future. Today, on International Migrants Day, I celebrate not only the migrants I have had the honor to work with but also every person who has taken that step toward a new beginning. Migration is a fundamental part of the human experience and it continues to inspire me every day. #InternationalMigrantsDay #Migration

linkly.es/9307f09ced21 Bilbao Udala - Ayuntamiento has once again celebrated the International Day of Migrants and this year has done so by recognizing the work of two important agents such as the Association of Colombians in the Basque Country - ASOCOLVAS - Asociación de colombianos y colombianas en el País Vasco and @MedicosdelMundo Munduko Medikuak - Doctors of the World Euskadi. These initiatives are important to recognize from the institutions and empower the work of social entities that work every day to achieve a diverse, intercultural, and inclusive city. Through the III Bilbao Intercultural City Plan, the colleagues do a commendable job that is developed, among others, thanks to the Local Immigration Council, which together with IKUSPEGI Immigrazioa eta Aniztasuna / Inmigración y Diversidad / Immigration and Diversity-Basque Immigration Observatory, BILTZEN-Integration and Intercultural Coexistence Service, have participated in the selection of the awards. Other relevant actions in this field are also the implementation of the one-stop service Harreragune, of which I already spoke in another publication, or the annual recognition of Migrated Women that has raised an interest and success since its launch, giving shape to the Community of Migrated Women where the group is recognized and its role as creative, enterprising, scientific women or as relevant agents in the neighborhoods is boosted. Without forgetting the emotional support that the creation of this community network supposes in their migratory processes, and in their respective personal circumstances. We should not forget that, in Bilbao, more than 50% of the migrants are women.

Today is International Migrants Day 🌍 As someone who took the leap years ago to leave my home country and start over in a new one, this day resonates deeply. It’s a chance to reflect on the incredible journey of building a life from scratch—one filled with challenges, growth, and resilience. 💼 Moving to a new country isn’t just about packing bags; it’s about leaving behind the familiar, stepping into the unknown, and creating opportunities from the ground up. Whether you moved at 18, 30, or 60, it takes serious courage to start fresh. 👏 Fair play to everyone who’s ever had the guts to leave their comfort zone and take that leap. You’re proof that human potential knows no borders. Migrants enrich societies, bring diverse perspectives, and work tirelessly to build better lives—not just for themselves, but for their communities too. ✨ To all my fellow migrants: Be proud of your journey. Be proud of your resilience. Today, we celebrate us and the strength it takes to create something beautiful from the ground up. Here’s to dreaming big, taking risks, and showing the world what we’re capable of. 💪🌟 #InternationalMigrantsDay #Resilience #Courage #Diversity #Migration #LifeJourney
