It’s best to avoid driving when conditions are icy, but black ice can catch even the most experienced drivers off guard. If you find yourself on black ice, stay calm—don’t hit the brakes and avoid sudden movements. Gently ease off the accelerator and steer in the direction of the skid. A steady hand and a clear head can make all the difference in staying safe.

Happy 4th of July! The 4th is historically the deadliest Holiday on the road. Distraction, parties, drinking and a ton of traffic are the usual suspects. 4 Tips to keep the occasion happy: 1. Stay sober BTW or find a driver who is. Remember - 1 drink = 2 = 3 = DUI (or worse) 2. Check your Attitude. Stay focused and leave the emotion outside the vehicle. Road rage never solved anything 3. Sack the Phone when you drive (get a co-pilot if possible) 4. Watch out for the 'Other Guys.' Defensive Driving is about avoiding the crash, no matter who is at fault. #impaireddriving #distracteddriving
