On Friday, we had our annual holiday party (and 11th year anniversary)—and I think I finally fully recovered on Monday! Like every year, we included significant others, and it was amazing to see everyone’s partners, and to meet those of our new team members. A lot of us tend to put on harder shells at work (I’m guilty too!), but when our significant others are around, it’s fun to see how we all soften up! 😊    WSJ published an interesting article yesterday that said only 32% of companies are inviting significant others to holiday parties this year, down from 53% in 2021. They cited cost-cutting and team building as the reasons, and while that’s easy enough for people to understand, I believe the value of including spouses far outweighs the alternative.    Tide Rock is a family, and we believe it’s important to celebrate with our families at home too. The tough days, the big wins—whether we mean to or not, we all take some part of work home with us. From the celebrations to the rough days to the after-hours texts and phone calls, what we do at Tide Rock impacts the people closest to us. That’s why we want them to get to know all the incredible people we work with, to hear about our successes, and to celebrate with us. We wouldn’t be where we are today without their support and that is not lost on us!   We love to cut costs too, but we’re NOT cutting out our families. They are WAY too important to what we do and how we do it!!! #unleveredbuyout #vgs
