📢 The SpinIT project site is LIVE! ✨ With its transnational approach, the project addresses significant territorial disparities across 10 locations in 8 countries within the Danube Region (DR), in particular in terms of innovation capacity, knowledge and technological development, with a primary focus on more isolated regions such as the ecosystems of Eastern and South-Eastern Europe.🌍💡 This approach is particularly important as the challenges faced by regions with more isolated ecosystems transcend municipal and country borders. The first day of the Week of Innovative Regions in Europe 2024 has wrapped up with a give-and-take on how to strengthen #innovation ecosystems in EU regions. “Closer collaboration between #science and #industry is key to promoting innovation,” according to Marina Papageorgiou of the Cyprus-based Eastern Mediterranean and Middle East – Climate and Atmosphere Research (EMME-CARE) project, but she pointed out it is “not always easy to achieve.” COOPERATE, a project at the Eindhoven University of Technology involving counterparts in several other EU countries has been cited as a successful example of how to build strong regional relationships. Project coordinator Ntorina Antoni explains it provides a platform for #knowledge transfer and research #partnerships between leading #research institutions.
