It has been exciting to hear that two of the "Grandfathers of Artificial Intelligence" John Hopfield (Princeton) and Geffrey Hinton (University of Toronto) were awarded the 2024 Nobel Prize for Physics! Their groundbreaking work in artificial neural networks has led to the AI revolution that is transforming society, medicine and ophthalmology.
