If you've visited the IHMC Robotics lab recently, you've probably seen our humanoid, Nadia. This week, the Robotics team shared a peek at some of the work they have been doing with Nadia's behavior architecture. Watch Nadia navigate opening doors autonomously and demonstrating robustness to failed grasps and door opening attempts by automatically retrying and continuing. You'll see her try pull and push doors, four types of opening mechanisms, and even spring-loaded door closers. Stay tuned for more coming soon! https://lnkd.in/eXXqXBg8

What is Swarming? It is a behaviour demonstrated by independent entities to collaborate for one or more missions This ant colony beautifully exhibits this phenomena. This behaviour can be exhibited by multiple entities that can even be heterogeneous. There are various use cases of swarming in performing collaborative work. There is a need for a system that builds intelligence on top of various machines. Rebhu Computing is building systems vital to have robots work alongside humans. Visual Navigation and Swarming are two vital technologies to achieve singularity in robotics.

Wait to be really surprised here! The idea of detachable and independent limbs is something we humans can’t fully grasp (yet), but robots are totally nailing it. This could really open up new possibilities for #HRI and boost what #robots can do. At #ICRA40 in Rotterdam this week, we saw something super cool: a robotic hand that can detach from its arm and crawl around to grab objects that are usually out of reach, designed by the folks at EPFL and MIT. Beyond Manual Dexterity: Designing a Multi-fingered Robotic Hand for Grasping and Crawling, by Xiao Gao, Kunpeng Yao, Kai Junge, Josie Hughes, and Aude Billard from EPFL and MIT.

Just how cool this is 😎😎 In 2011, Dr. Guero built the PRIMER-V2 robot, which could ride a custom-made bicycle just like a human. PRIMER-V2 had special joints and a gyroscope for balance, allowing it to mimic our pedalling and steering movements It even used tiny robotic feet to brake! This achievement paved the way for more advanced robots in the field of robotics.🚴♂️🦾 Credit: TokyoTek (Youtube) #ai #ainews #airtificialintelligence #chatgpt #datascience #design #elonmusk #engineering

Autonomous Door Traversal Behaviors IHMC Robotics Equipped with a new behavior architecture, Nadia navigates and traverses many types of doors autonomously. Nadia also demonstrates robustness to failed grasps and door opening attempts by automatically retrying and continuing.
