I became "Cisconian" few days ago 🎉 And I was a bit worried that the new hire should setup and get everything ready by themself, starting from unboxing sealed laptop, sailing in a sea of documents, links and steps to finish the hiring documents and setup their account, till reaching the land on which they can check-out the project files and submit jobs on the machines' grid. So I prepared myself psychologically to be calm with any broken links, out-of-date steps, take-a-long-time-to-resolve tickets, delayed approvals, ... etc, but contrary to my expectations, with each step completed I was more and more impressed by the care taken in preparing everything for the new hires: the onboarding sessions, the level of automation to get things done, the accurate and up-to-date documentation of everything you have/need to do and what you might encounter and how to fix! So, it is great when a company get high rank in a best workplaces surveys, and it's even better when the newcomer starts to understand the reason of this rank in their first days! Today, I’m honored to share our FY24 Purpose Report, which highlights Cisco's goals, accomplishments, and opportunities ahead as we work to Power an Inclusive Future for All.    This #CiscoPurpose work and commitment remains more relevant than ever in the age of AI. As innovation accelerates at hyperspeed, the ability to access and leverage digital technologies is only becoming more critical. In addition, there’s an urgent need to pace our skilling to meet today’s technology demands.    While the work continues ahead, I’m so proud of what we’ve accomplished to date with programs like Country Digital Acceleration and Cisco Networking Academy. Here's a short list of what I am grateful for after 3-years at Cisco.... - Solutions Engineers like Andy J. (customer champions) - Meetings with customers (they have fascinating stories) - Friendships with colleagues like Michael Nelson and Ryan DeFranco - Competent Cisco Partners: Especially Jason Wulff and Rob Williams - So much learning: Networking, Security, Collaboration, DC, Observability - Meeting the smartest young person in America: Alexis Bertholf (POTUS?) - The opportunity to help solve business problems - Talking books and business with Jessica Seery October is my 3-year anniversary at Cisco. There's a theme here: It's all about the people. Thank you to all the people and my family for the last 3-years! P.S. I am a participant in the ministry of the Cana Family Institute. Although I haven't been as active on here as I'd like, my career has been a significant source of gratitude this year.
