During this simulation, I: ✅ Set up a local dev environment, downloading necessary files, tools, and dependencies ✅ Fixed broken repository files to ensure correct web application output ✅ Utilised JPMorgan Chase's open-source library, Perspective, to generate live graphs for clear data visualization This experience has given me valuable insight into software engineering practices at a leading financial institution. Looking forward to applying these skills in future projects! As always eager to connect with fellow tech enthusiasts and professionals. 🌟Empathy in Action at FinX Chicago🌟 Today, we had the privilege of participating in the FinX experiment in Chicago, where we walked in the shoes of the underserved and unbanked communities. This immersive event, hosted by the Financial Health Network and Prudential, provided a powerful perspective on the daily challenges faced by millions. 🔍 What We Did: We navigated real-life financial scenarios without the conveniences many of us take for granted, such as easy access to banking services. From managing transactions at check-cashing outlets to negotiating payday loans, each step highlighted the barriers that can hinder financial health. 💡 Key Takeaways: 💡 - Understanding Barriers: We gained firsthand insight into the complexities and frustrations that underserved individuals face when accessing financial services. -Building Empathy: Experiencing these challenges deepened our empathy and commitment to developing inclusive financial solutions. -Driving Innovation-This experience reinforced the importance of innovative approaches to make financial health accessible to all.
