A tale of my two paths in business at my 1 year anniversary of being back on 𝕏 and LinkedIn. Once, I was the samurai – loyal, committed, answering to the mission of others. I played my role well, but the vision wasn’t my own. Then, everything changed. I became The Revenue Ronin – a masterless warrior, driven by MY purpose, MY rules. No safety net. Just the freedom (and responsibility) to carve my path. Here’s why I chose the life of a “Revenue Ronin” – a CMO without a leash, thriving on independence and relentless value creation. 🔽 The shift that made all the difference… Imagine the samurai as the classic loyal company man. He's got a boss – a feudal lord – who sets the direction and provides the resources. In return, the samurai delivers his skills, protects the assets, and plays his role with precision, bound by loyalty and duty. He's on a set path, within a structured system, and while he’s respected and capable, his journey is shaped by someone else’s mission. Now, enter the ronin. He’s a masterless samurai, a free agent. No boss, no safety net, and no one calling the shots but himself. Instead of being bound by a single employer, he answers to his own values, goals, and direction. A ronin is versatile, sharp, and driven by his own purpose. He’ll pick up new skills and adapt because his survival and success depend on it. The ronin mindset embraces independence, flexibility, and a readiness to forge his own path, thriving in environments where he defines the mission and the methods. In business, the samurai might be the in-house CMO or marketing director, while the ronin is the fractional CMO, the sales and marketing ronin, always seeking to bring value on his terms, unbound by any single allegiance. This paper discusses the use of zinc-aluminum mixed oxide nanocomposites (ZnAl-MO NCs) as an efficient catalyst for three-component one-pot KA2 coupling reactions to produce tetrasubstituted propargylamines. ZnAl-MO NCs selectively catalyze the KA2 coupling reactions between ketone, amine, and an alkyne, resulting in a wide range of functional substrates with higher conversion rates and yields. The sustainability of the catalyst was also studied by evaluating green chemistry metrics. The proposed methodology not only highlights the versatility of the novel catalyst but also demonstrates lower leaching levels for zinc and aluminum, respectively. #catalysis #nanomaterials #sustainability

What do you do to say thank you? One of the small ways I’ve incorporated gratitude into the systems of the business is this, a hand-written ‘Thank You’ card. I’m only showing you the front here, but on the back is a little handwritten message to say thanks for working together. It’s not there to sell or promote, it’s to simply offer gratitude.
